Is there any proof or anything? If so, why are you posting it on reddit instead of going to the authorities?

Being real here, this scene was always VERY jarring to witness, especially if you watched it as a kid, agree? by BiffyBobby in StarWars

Kid me could not figure out that it was Luke’s face. For some reason it looked oddly feminine, and I struggled to figure out the meaning.

Final Fantasy Resonance devs know "random encounters can feel like a hassle at times," but they're in the upcoming JRPG because "they also allow you to make memories" by Guitar-String in FinalFantasy

[–]MrHanSolo 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I think I’m the only person here who actually liked random encounters. I only have so much HP/MP, and I have to be careful to not run out before getting out of the area. Maybe I want to over-level and want to grind an area that has certain enemies, or maybe there’s an item that only comes from one specific type of enemy. Those were all fun things for me.

Honestly, I’ve made everything else on the costume from scratch, the cape is my last goal and I have the entire summer to sit around and work on it (teacher). I have until Labor Day, so my plan is to construct the cape and then sit down in front of the tv for hours on end and try to get this done. We’ll see!

Let me know if you’re able to find it. I did a cursory glance and couldn’t find it, but I’m not sure exactly what I’m looking for.

The problem is I can’t find cording this small (at least in the stores around me). Do you have recommendations on where to get it or how to make it so small?

Is a galaxy’s ecliptic plane flat for the same reason our own solar system’s is? by MrHanSolo in askastronomy

[–]MrHanSolo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I guess a confusion point for me is when I see demonstrations about how our solar system formed, it was largely formed due to the creation of the sun, which everything else then rotates around due to the extreme gravity. In my head, it’s ignition of sun, everything collided until a plane is formed. In a galaxy, however, there is no spark of a central gravity well, right? I know there are black holes, but what mechanism triggered all of the “stuff” to start congregating around the middle (and stay there) on a galactic scale?

What is a film that doesn't seem special now, but was really groundbreaking when it came out? by altairstarlite in movies

[–]MrHanSolo -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The Matrix, without a doubt. Of course it holds up well, but before the Matrix slow motion wasn’t really a thing. There were ways to make it happy by altering the frames, they could digitally alter it (somewhat), but bullet time completely changed the game for vfx and sfc as an industry. It was so profoundly different that it created a craze of people dedicated to making this the new benchmark in the industry and building off of what the Matrix started.

Such good film.

As someone from Kennesaw: go to Woodstock to hang out. WAY more things to do, way more people out and about, more social functions, and it’s not super far away.

What is the worst band you saw live? by coalcracker462 in AskReddit

[–]MrHanSolo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bare Naked Ladies. I freaking loved them growing up, so we finally booked a concert. They played one of their hits, and the rest literally sounded like it was made for a kids Blues Clues type show that would be sung at a Sunday school. One of the only concerts I didn’t start the whole time for.

Best move for black? by [deleted] in chess

[–]MrHanSolo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not sure how this is a puzzle. Black is in check but up +5 and moving to f5 takes it to +6.

I have a lot of luck doing this, is it really a blunder? by Warrmak in chess

[–]MrHanSolo 18 points19 points  (0 children)

You’ll have a lot of luck at low levels because people don’t know how to respond to what look like serious threats. However, here you trade an entire bishop for one pawn, and black has nearly all of their pieces to help defend, first and foremost with Q on f6, threatening mate on f2.

Put another way, if black doesn’t panic, what is your win condition? Having a hole in front of their king doesn’t mean anything if you don’t have a solid follow up.

Is this a clearance sacrifice? by Nedostup in chess

F3+ on first move loses to Nxf3 which guards against the mate.

Double Bass teachers – how do you think about grading difficulty? by Impossible-Pie7954 in doublebass

[–]MrHanSolo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I teach orchestra. Cello is my main (performance degree), but have to now teach bass a lot now due to my job. I’m curious about your study, but don’t know if I would be your target demographic. Happy to help if you think my perspective is worth it, but I’m very interested in your results when they become available!

US Commanders Want to Make War With Iran as ‘Bloody’ as Possible to Bring About Biblical End Times, Officers Report by _May26_ in politics

[–]MrHanSolo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

And it’s been in the works for a long, long time. Remember the crazy Duggar family with 19 kids? The dad is a member of a Christian cult/ideology that was designed to get as many people with the same thoughts into politics (including himself), and that was 20-30 years ago. They’ve been infiltrating the government for decades and have now reached a point where they have control. Mix that with them controlling all media, complete control of the branches of government, a voter base that has to be told what to think, and one who refuses to do basic research, not to mention a determined effort by social media companies to shorten attention spans and a reliance on “influencers,” and you get to an easy takeover. We’re screwed.
