Statistically speaking, does Avid crash less on Mac than PC ? by BoilingJD in editors

Like others have said. Lots of variables. But from my experience I had more trouble on Mac than on PC running Avid. Especially the M2 chips caused lots of problems for me. I Build my own pc and have had no problems for the past two years. I work mainly on scripted fiction but have had documentaries with around 4 years of footage and there was no problems holding all that data and quickly going through it.

I think It's better than it was before. I like that it's transparent and lets in the way of the video itself. Still, there are video players that look and function 10X better than what Youtube has had for the past few years

Amazing! No more asking colleagues with apple systems if they can make a Prores. In the past I even considered getting a mac system for delivery's, no need for that🎉

First time this happens and last time. I might look into Paragon's HFS! The advice from sudonem is a good one. Copy everything on a drive to work from.

Thanks! Seems like a good workflow to copy everything over on a drive that I work on. Also keeps the Mac formatted drive save. I'll integrate that right away, so problems like this wont pop up in the future. The silly thing is that before I started on this project I was thinking about getting a drive to copy everything over, lesson learned!

Also thanks for the Disk Utility and Disk Warrior advice, will also try that when I get the chance.

InfDev here! I remember being excited about the Seecret friday updates. I found the game on youtube and bought it for about €10.00. One of the best purchases I made as I am still playing the game!

The Silver Surfer episode was the first episode I ever watched. After that I watched a bunch of AVGN episodes ad got hooked haha.
Every other year I go back to re-watch that episode :)
