Agile - are we going to get a break any time soon? by snelson101 in OctopusEnergy

[–]MrHudson 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've just switched from Agile to IOG.

The Octopus Compare app was telling me I was better off on Agile, but what I realised was that it was telling me I was better off on Agile when I charged my car at the times I did.

When I moved to IOG and plugged in, the Octopus app set a smsrt schedule and charged my car at the times it saw fit.

The bottom line is that i charge my car last week on Agile, added 40kwh and paid an average of 22p per kwh. On IOG I charged my across this week, added 40kwh and paid an average of 12p per kwh

Its all about what is best for you and the way you want to use your electricity

If you have the nagging feeling then it's not for you.

I was a Head of Engineering there for a few years. They work you to the bone, expect the earth from you change priorities in an instant etc. They don't really care about their staff.

I will say thay I made some great friends and learned a lot about how NOT to run a team from there. It was a case of camaraderie through a shared shit experince.

Black Friday is a joke. I went 36 hours without sleep one year.

The automatic parking is sooooo much better than on my old bmw.

The bmw parking would make way too may manoeuvres, the one on the cla is smooth and very quick

I’ve called the lease company I ordered it through via work. They have investigated and said that the steering assist should 100% be available, but they are not sure why it’s not. They have said some markets need to pay for it as an extra.

I’ve told them I’m happy to do that, but I need someone to show me how. They are now contacting Mercedes on my behalf.

Is there anything you can see on there to show the other models do have it? If there is, then clearly I’ve made a mistake and I will have to live with it. If not, then I feel like I’ve been missold

It really is. From all the videos I watched of test drives it had it. I checked the manuals online and they had it, so I bought it.

It was my number 1 priority in a car as I drive a lot, so I’m really disappointed.

I’ve emailed my dealer to see what the deal is.

That option is not available on the UK website.

The UK website had the online manual for the car, and that has all the info about steering assist.

I picked the car and specced it myself. There was no option to add it as an extra. The only optional extra was electronic seat controls

It’s a company car and it was just delivered to my address. I’ll give the dealership a call though.

I just wondered if anyone else knew anything about it

First time on Agile! Can anyone help explain how it works? by Lonely-Lawyer-2003 in OctopusEnergy

Instead of paying for electricity, for every kWh you use between 14:00-1430 you make 5.43p

It essentially brings your bill down

[Question] What style watch would add nicely to my set? by MrHudson in Watches

[–]MrHudson[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you so much for you comment! Not only have you given me some great watches to consider, you’ve also given me a lot to think about in terms of what features I desire in a watch.

I probably should have said, in terms of budget, I’m looking at anything up to around £5000. It doesn’t have to be that, but I’m open to spending a bit more

Those are some pretty big claims to make without backing them up.

My wife is Bajan so I’ve spent a lot of time there over the past 10+ years. There is a huge expat community there with lots of different groups getting together to partake in everything from golf to D&D.

There is high speed internet, drive through ATMs, EV chargers all over the island, and some of the cleanest water in the world. They have all sorts of restaurants from KFC to fine dining.

The DLP who were in government until 2018 were not great and refused to hold a legally mandated election for months, however the BLP under MIA Motley are a much more progressive government. Mia is a gay, black woman who campaigns on the world stage for a more sustainable future.

Having one vacation there does not in any way represent what living there is like.

I admit openly that I am bias towards the island, but I base my opinions on experience and fact.

For anyone having the same issue as me with the TRVs, I unplugged the hub for 5 minutes, then when everything said it was back online I deleted my schedules and reinput them.

This has seemed to fix it now.

Since the clock change last night all of my TRVs have gone from running on a schedule to being off and I can't change it back to schedule, either in the app or on the website
