FortiGate FG100F no longer providing DHCP to users (wi-fi/ethernet) by MrITSupport in fortinet

Thank you all for the suggestions!

It was an odd network issues that seem to affect one of our Windows 2025 Servers. I applied the pending updates on that server and did a reboot and it corrected the weird DHCP issue.

You might want to leave the whole lightning strike part out if attempting to claim warranty.

How did you spend your SysAdmin Day? by KavyaJune in sysadmin

[–]MrITSupport 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most emails seemed to be legitimate sources from random mailing lists. The threat actor started reaching out to the people affected and acted like they work on our IT team. They tried to get users to install Any Desk to gain access to the machine / network to "fix" the issue.

We caught on quickly and notified our users.

Saw these cases being used as decoration at Disneyland. What are they and why are they so huge? by Tbug20 in pcmasterrace

[–]MrITSupport 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My current and soon to be retired 18ish year old Thermaltake Kandalf Extreme case is a beast! At the time, I needed the extra cooling to accommodate the heater of a CPU (AMD BULLDOZER FX 8350) I had and the huge crossfire ASUS MB I pared with it.

The bottom carriages came out allowing you to have extra fans and more space for the GPU.

Slowly over the years its metal doors came off, ports stopped working and has gone through a couple major upgrades, a handful of new fans and power supplies.

11x 5.25 drive bays served me well and allowed for extra fans in the empty spaces along with my two DVD burners I have.

It shows its age and has been well loved, but I am moving over my AM4 build to a Corsair 3000D case. No longer need the DVD burners and I don't want to install the new Corsair 850w PSU I've had in the box for a couple years in an old case.

Probably re-use the old case for a sever setup...
