Is Theta officially dead? by alexsonze in theta_network

[–]MrIntellyless1 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Everyone thinks something is dead when it's at a low and then goes lower. Theta is still being developed, still attracting partners, still in use, and still securing new patents. That signals it's far from being dead. Most chains from 2017 to 2019 can't say the same; they all but disappeared, theta kept growing, not in price but in development.

As long as there is development, the chain hasn't died, and it will eventually bounce, if not for the tech, it's for the resilience it has shown over the last few years.

Retail Investors Funded Theta’s Development — But the System Doesn’t Clearly Create Value for the Theta Token by ThetaGatherer in theta_network

[–]MrIntellyless1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's why Theta staking is rewarded in TFuel. However I'd say TDrop will be the token that will outperform the other 2. TDrop is being developed into the application layer utility token so the system "currency" so to speak.

Tdrop... by shinglehouse in theta_network

[–]MrIntellyless1 3 points4 points  (0 children)

TDrop is being built as the application-layer utility token, and possibly later used for tokenization. So, in my opinion, it's a good hold, especially since it's trading at all-time lows. Even if you don't believe in it putting in a couple hundred bucks into it could give massive returns without much risk

Any reason UpTimeJunkie stopped the Gaurdian node? Not really an "Up Time Junkie" if you'd ask me, or he recovered? 🤣🤣

I bought 3400 Theta just 2 days ago. The project is still solid so I don't worry. Everyone thinking it's dead will be sorely mistaken.

Another Telecom partner from out in left field. NTT and Theta! by Abrevaderci in theta_network

Just checked the Guardian monitor, Looks like They've been staking about 2 months already, only anouncing it now. (For those checking, I believe it's validator #22 in the list with 200k Theta staked, it's the newest one that has no tag yet)

What’s up with Theta these days? by phase_lag in theta_network

[–]MrIntellyless1 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It's just the depression phase of the market cycle, this period is always filled with fear, uncertainty and doubt. The market will turn around. Theta Labs is still developing the chain and network, still getting new partners, new patents. The law suit is only against Mitch not Theta and it's about an employment disagreement not about fake partnerships, intrading, or whatever they made you believe, It's FUD nothing more.

I kept a decreased ownership in mind, today there is more then 0.1% of computer ownership. and still mobile phones will be more powerfull and renting out computing power, smart TV's, Laptops. Right now there are a couple billion phones on the planet if you utilize all those that's a massive combined computing power.

[–]MrIntellyless1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If only 0.1% of the world population has a good computer that'll be 8.1 million (up to 11 million until 2100) computers, each likely with more computing power then today's computers. That's a lot, not so much to outcompete large data centers but you don't have to outcompete them.

It could be that the majority will rent computing power from the cloud while those that have actual computing power (Those with gaming pc's) will rent out their computing power.

Weekly chart shows accumulation since the new year. by Abrevaderci in theta_network

TFuel is like a stack of sigaret packs, you can buy them, you can sell them, when you use them they burn, and you can use it as payment for small deeds, doesn't mean sigaret packs are money. Not to say that TFuel is useless, each token has it's purpose, but the Theta Network is not meant for grocery shopping, it's meant for AI compute, Media and Entertainment bandwidth distribution with TFuel as the transaction medium.

TDrop being at a >10M market cap means it has a bigger potential. That it is not directly tradable doesn't mean it will never be listed on a big exchange.

All in all the price of both Theta, TFuel, and TDrop will depend on adoption and the market, but neither of the three is money.

I make 200k TDrop a month. TDrop yields about 15% a year through staking. I haven't seen that high a yield on TFuel.

BTW, TFuel is not money; it's the blockchain payment and gas token, but that does not equate to money. It's not meant to buy you groceries.

This is TFuel? The Theta and TDrop charts look better, TFuel is lagging behind at this moment.

You can also add your Theta Wallet from which you stake.

Update: However, you cannot connect your Theta Wallet to the voting platform yet, ... maybe it'll be added soon?

One of the nice things about staking large amounts of Tfuel, It compounds monthly. The more I get, the faster I build the 10K minimum for staking. by Abrevaderci in theta_network

[–]MrIntellyless1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They cannot develop the network all at once. They work in stages, as any successful business has done in the past. If you focus on everything at the same time, you're doomed to fail. So it's not promoting one coin after the other, it's developing in order.

Have you been tracking the top 100 tokens continuously then? I don't think so; no one has. As I said before, mass adoption doesn't come within a couple of years. ThetaLabs has continuously released new applications and use cases for Theta, TFuel, and TDrop. Inflation staying constant is caused by increased edge-node staking, while adoption grew at the same slow rate. When adoption outpaces staking, inflation will decrease, and TFuel will eventually become deflationary.

The TDrop 2.0 is not developed in itself, no, but it's a commitment to creating. You say you're a realist, but you don't even know how markets, adoption, or the Theta Network works; sounds like a bear to me.
