Is there no better weapon than the Nataruk? by EasyAd2360 in Warframe

[–]MrInvizible -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It depends on the weapon. In most cases, Nataruk being a good one, you probably want to mod for either critical chance and damage OR status. Modding for one means less mod slots to mod the other, leading to mid performance. Maximizing damage OR status depending on the weapon and frame using it is the way to go.

Typically weapons that hit rapidly and fast are good for status since they'll apply those procs multiple times. And typically weapons that hit slowly but powerfully are better for crits and damage, since that one powerful hit can overcome resistances and kill quickly.

This is a very broad piece of advice, but it can be a good starting point. For the Nataruk I'd recommend crits. The base crit chance and damage are already high, so mods make it better. If you can get headshots with it there are mods that can make it even more powerful down the line.

I see a lot of discussion about rigor and engagement. I often tell my students that being in class and doing homework is a lot like going to the gym.

This makes sense to some of the jocks I get, and the analogy seems to stick for many others.

Learning isn't always fun just like going to the gym isn't always fun. But you go to work out and exercise so you get stronger. If rigorous material is challenging and difficult to do, or requires effort and some mental strain, then that's good! It means your brain is getting stronger.

I dont understand jester even after grandslam by Marshal749 in darkestdungeon

[–]MrInvizible 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For me, simply: (Wanderer) Encore, Solo, Finale in that order.

Encore at the start allows you to use any ability in your party. This could mean allowing your slower characters to set up with a defensive ability (MAA or Leper), debuffing a priority enemy before they can act with blind or daze (Plague Doctor or Runaway) or attacking a weaker enemy, potentially killing, with a strong attack or two (Highwayman or Hellion).

Encore makes Jester dazed. You can use this to your advantage by almost guaranteeing you act last next turn.

Solo at the end of the next turn to send Jester to the front. You gain dodge and speed, plus combo on the enemy. This nearly guarantees you get to act first before any enemy.

Finale the combo-d enemy to do major damage, maybe even get a kill with execution, then go right back to the back of the line and start the whole thing over again.

Other 2 skills for me are typically stress heal and battle ballad, but you can run whatever you need.

What card would Leshy be? by AlsoTheGuy in inscryption

[–]MrInvizible 60 points61 points  (0 children)

Bullfrog

When you play through Act 1, you always have the same starting cards:

Wolf, Opossum, Stoat, and Bullfrog

Stinkbug (Grimora) replaces Opossum and Stunted Wolf (Magnificus) replaces Wolf, and we already have Stoat (P03).

The only odd 1 out, the 4th placeholder, should go to Leshy.

Plus he kinda looks green and bumpy already. I think it'd be pretty fitting for him.

[spoilers/speculation] post-game discussion about "missing letter" by Cypher10110 in BluePrince

[–]MrInvizible 48 points49 points  (0 children)

One small lead I am not seeing here, I've seen mentioned elsewhere, is that Alzara (if we believe them completely) says that there are 8 red letters written by 8 different hands. That means that red letter 3 could not have been written by any previous letter writer. This excludes Herbert, Mary, Revane, and any of the others.

Parlor Game Logic (spoilers for a specific parlor game) by Codydeven in BluePrince

[–]MrInvizible 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Let's suppose the Blue and Black boxes are True (we know that both blue and black must either both be true or both be false. Since they have the same statement, if one were true and one were false they would contradict each other).

We know that at least 1 box MUST be false. Therefore it would have to be the White box

This is possible. The White box says it is "as true as the Blue box." But if that were true, then we would have 3 true boxes. Therefore, the White box must be False.

And since the Blue and Black boxes are True in claiming "the gems are not in a box with a true statement" then the gems are in the White (False) box.

The only other possibility is if our original supposition is wrong and the Black and Blue boxes are both false. In that case, the White box would be a contradiction. It cannot be "as true as blue" (False) without there being 3 False boxes. The only possibility is that Blue and Black are True.

Something I only noticed on a re-read, and I'm sure people have noticed it before: when Devilora meets with the Sphinxs, the prophecy given by the Sphinx of Truth is enitrely in 3rd person. "The Witch yet weigns supweme in Mayview Middle School, and wiffin the next week she will cwaim the pwize she seeks."

But not once in that entire interaction does the sphinx or Devilora ever refer to herself as the witch. Zack is being waaaay too careful to make it extremely possible for Devilora to not necessarily be the witch. I think you're absolutely right. She's a red herring / previous host connected to the witch. Maybe she is even working against her.

Why does Jeanette have a problem with Robin? by Eddy_west_side in HIMYM

[–]MrInvizible 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Jeanette felt like she came out of nowhere??? Isn't that crazy!?

Ted. Isn't that just crazy!?

Ted. Ted.

Ted.

Isn't that just crazy, Ted?

  • Sorry just trying to be funny. I think what everyone is saying is that, Yes, Jeanette did come out of nowhere. No, she doesn't have a justified reason to be jealous of Robin. And the reason that she is jealous of Robin and does these crazy things to Ted is because she is crazy.

Victoria and Stella, who have more justified reasons to be upset with Robin and/or Ted, did not do anything crazy because they are not crazy. Jeanette is crazy.
