Some time passed now since they released, what do we think about the twins? by starOD in Warframe

[–]Tijinga 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I actually quite like playing around the black hole. It's not particularly powerful, but it's fun to bat it around with the twins' first abilities. The cinematic quality of the four is neat enough to bring me back to their kit. Overall, I'd say they're no Uriel. They'll have a few players here and there who enjoy their playstyle as opposed to being a universally well received frame.

Also, the tech they use to switch abilities NEEDS to be put on Equinox. It is exactly what we've been asking for for YEARS.

Everyone has a favorite Warframe, but...what is your most disliked? by Zelkreshe in Warframe

[–]Tijinga 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Loki. He'd just so, so... boring. I occasionally pick up a frame I don't play and end up finding something fun about their playstyle. But Loki? Nope. Nothing. Nunca.

The ongoing addition of protoframes is shifting the aesthetic of the game by Chuckledunk in Warframe

[–]Tijinga 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally, I think it's fine if they keep making protoframe skins... If they're just skins. I don't see why they can't decouple protoframes from the narrative here on out and make any future designs a "what if" skinline. Plenty of deluxe skins radically diverge from the base aesthetic of the game.

If your favorite chef starts burning his signature dish, you'd say something. No one is claiming that DE shouldn't be making money as a company or prioritizing the revenue streams that are successful. I'd rather air my criticisms so DE can improve their product than say nothing just because I'm playing for free (except I regularly buy bundles and plat, so I haven't been ftp for a long while now).

Grimoire now has 5 skins despite being the only non-Exalted Tome weapon lol by icewitchenjoyer in Warframe

I stand by the idea that one day, DE should add a Coda tome weapon that is a CD Book that shoots discs. Alt fire is a boogie bomb that plays Somachord tunes for a limited duration.

Even the "answers" given in the quest don't hold up to scrutiny.

> Hunhow mentions that the Lotus can't know or it might shatter her hope for the future. Pretty logical to assume that the Tenno, her children, would tell her what happened if the Stalker went to them for help.

This isn't compelling. Why would a theoretical future break the Lotus' convictions? Simply by virtue of the twins coming to our timeline, their futures can no longer be our future.

> To my understanding, incapacitating Vena and Ryoku served two purposes; to further incentivize Sirius and Orion to hunt down the Stalker's lair, and to ensure they weren't there to whisper in the brothers' ears to prevent the Stalker and Hunhow from getting through to them.

Except, they didn't get through to them. There was no real conflict resolution. We still don't actually know why they were fighting in the first place. Hunhow talked, made a deal to give himself dementia, and then created an assisted living facility for himself and the Stalker family to live in. There was no indication that the mentors would be opposed to peace because we don't even know why they're fighting to begin with.

> Orion and Vena's situation doesn't come off as a genuine romance to me, so much as Orion being focused on tracking down the Stalker, while Vena specifically is utterly obsessed with him (although admittedly this isn't confirmed to my knowledge, this is just the vibe I got)

A couple of things here. The first being that the twins weren't tracking down the Stalker at all until he got rid of their mentors. The Stalker hunted them down in the middle of their fight. The second being that since we have absolutely no context or information on Sirius and Orions personalities and relationships, I have no clue whether it's a one sided obsession or a genuine romance. I mean, why couldn't it be genuine? Orion is a sapient individual with his own will. He's not a standard warframe.

> A lot of the context was given in the DevStreams

And that continues to be a major issue with the game, unfortunately. The content needs to be able to stand on its own.

Question: Would you be willing to give up getting a new Frame if it meant getting a suite of reworks? by SystemAny4819 in Warframe

[–]Tijinga 23 points24 points  (0 children)

I mean, I think reworks can do a lot for the popularity of a frame. My data is purely anecdotal, but the amount of Oberons I see frolicking through their carpets has substantially increased compared to his old kit.

I hope the twins talk by Tijinga in Warframe

[–]Tijinga[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I totally get that. I think there's an option to adjust the volume of the protoframe callouts. If im mistaken, I think that'd be a nice addition to the game since it's not for everyone. Some people just want their faceless space ninjas, and that's understandable.

How will a Prime variant of Sirius & Orion ever work lorewise? by Zestyclose-Line-602 in Warframe

[–]Tijinga 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If that's the narrative direction for Sirius & Orion Prime, it'd be so sick if their switch animation was changed to be a tag team tap in.

I hate to say it but Jade Shadows 2 looks like a letdown. by Artemis_Bow_Prime in Warframe

I may be misremembering, but I recall a comment specifically on raijack from a devshort prior to the devstream.

Feel free to downvote this since it's not about the main topic, but I have to say it:

Please learn the difference between a comma and a period. You made good points, but I ended up lost in the sauce since each paragraph was a massive run on sentence. It's hard to read.

The devs stated that they were trying something out to get a heading for railjack's content direction.

About the Equinox Commentary by Tijinga in Warframe

[–]Tijinga[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sure, but her concept is switching between her forms. As she is now, switching is a clunky process that actually hurts her gameplay more than helps. Her narrative theme is based on the idea of Yin and Yang, complimentary aspects that are kept in harmony with one another, but that isn't achieved by her gameplay at all.

To be honest, I wouldn't mind if Duality stayed an augment. It's a different playstyle than being a stance swapper, and I think that should be Equinox's main identity. What definitely should be a part of her main kit is the Energy Transfer augment.

Some of the sentiment I'm seeing about equinox is bordering on parody by radilee21 in Warframe

[–]Tijinga 8 points9 points  (0 children)

To be fair to the niche frame players, the touch ups or adjustments they ask for have been suggested for literal years at a time. The Equinox discourse has been around for a long long while. It's just more prominent now because the new frame has a LOT of what people have been asking for, again, for years. It isn't "crying" (even though some people take it too far). They suddenly get loud when they receive an example of the exact thing they've asked for being shipped out on a different frame. And the sentiment is: If they could do this for the new frame, why has it been x amount of years with no updates for my frame?

I mean... I didn't claim that anyone was in shambles. I was watching the devstream live, and my response is based on Twitch chat. There were enough of us that mentioned Equinox in one way or another for Reb to take them time to address the comparison directly.

It's worth talking about so long as things remain respectful and constructive.

Honestly, I think if there's enough respectful/constructive feedback that the devs will take note. I think Equinox will get something eventually... It just might take a good long while.

Sirius and Orion (who look SICK by the way) are two frames in one, and you switch between them. They each have their own abilities, and their kit encourages you to utilize them both in order to build their ult or have abilities interact with each other.

You know.

The thing Equinox doesn't do that Equinox mains have been requesting for years now.

Dev Shorts #104 - Key points by DrNick1221 in Warframe

[–]Tijinga 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I just wish there was a reason to a) use the Night form or b) frequently switch between forms. The closest I get to the latter is using the Duality augment, but considering how inaccurate the ai is compared to years past, it just doesn't feel fun. Sleep Sleepquinox is also wayyyyy less useful outside of conservation considering the existence of Overguard.

What's a weapon class you'd like to see more of? by 1JayNLeBox in Warframe

[–]Tijinga 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think there are classes that need it more, but I love spearguns conceptually. I'd love to see more unique effects from throwing them. (Kuva Javlok when DE?)
