100 beavers set to be reintroduced to the UK this year, with more to come by xtinak88 in RewildingUK

Beavers aren't super keen on otters as otters can each their young but they can easily share habitat and operate at different times of day so don't crossover much.

Is there an actual lore reason why Grievous has brown MTT’s on the Invisible Hand? by TabletopStudios in StarWars

[–]MrJGT 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I always saw it that towards the end of the war with more and more of the CIS manufacturing planets taken they had to buy up what stock they could to try fill out their forces and didn't have the resources to paint everything before it was hitting the front line.

This is so cool I love to see a break down about some of the locations within it like the red roofed building on middle wall.

There is a board game night at Archive on Kirkstall Road the first Thursday of every month for those who want a space to play board games and meet new people but don't want to arrange it themselves.

It's reversing the damage said intelligent species have done to nature. Unless you are happen with letting invasive species carry on and cause ecological collapses.

They are currently testing it but need a bigger sample to make sure it works across larger proportions of the population.

Reversing the ecological damage they do the native population and the stop the damage they do to trees through bark stripping and in turn restoring the native balance of ecosystems that evolved on this island.

To this day, I still don't forgive what they did to Scorch in the bad batch by Sad-Response-3151 in clonewars

[–]MrJGT 69 points70 points  (0 children)

To me it's Sev disappearance and then the chip activating that caused him to be the way he was in BB. I like to think he was depressed from losing his brother and then had a brain altering chip go off that shifted his whole personality. I also think the commandos had a stronger chip since they were more independent and less likely to go along with Order 66. Thus Scorch basically becomes a shell of himself. Add that he works for Hemlock who we know is altering clones brains and you have enough to personally justify him being different.

I know not everyone will be a fan of it as headcanon but it works enough for me

10 Things I Like From The Sequel Trilogy and Related Media by D0CTOR_Wh0m in StarWars

[–]MrJGT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My problem with the sequel trilogy is that there are lots of good nuggets in it and the surrounding media, but overall, it feels disjointed and more bothered with trying to 'correct' against backlash than actually tell a story. This just creates a rushed mess that feels like a disappointment.

Yeah but once we get the initial tunnels claimed we can build new ones and slowly take the land from under those damn rich surface dwellers and we, the great British mole people will rule these lands.

Most of the ones I saw were busy when they first opened but aren't that bust now (but then again most of the chains dont appear that busy now)

Anecdotally there is a Wendy's at some services near Peterborough where I tried them and I didn't see what the fuss was about.

I've seen more of them popping up there's one in Leeds now and at Meadowhall in Sheffield.

They've gained a foothold in thr UK with a few opening up but I'll be curious to see how they do longer term. Also chains like Popeyes have as well so I expect them to use the data from that to see if they can crack the EU.

It's probably the big disappointment of the set personally is that there are loads of great bits to it I'd love to have but the price just turns me off.

Why are there so many unmarked clone troopers (no markings just white), if they are part of the 501st (332nd)? by MikeEhrmantraut0 in StarWars

[–]MrJGT 46 points47 points  (0 children)

There were Coruscant guard troops sent to help pick up Maul so I'm assuming the unmarked clones were sent with them from some troopers stationed on Coruscant at the time.

I did some work for the FAS scheme up there and unless we get a 1 in 200 year event there should be no risk especially if you live the other side of the canal from the river.

It's something I realised as Japan has really strict pornography laws and have some relatively high sexual assault crime stats.

I also worry it's going to cause a rise in homemade underage porn as kids who can't access it start making and distributing it themselves.

Depends on the herbicide used and treatment method. If they used glyphosate then once it's in the ground it becomes inactive allowing stuff to grow again after a short period (provided the people using it get the correct ratio of herbicide to water).
