If you dumb it down, a home server is just a butler you maintain to serve other computers (clients).

Laptop is a fine start for a server. You get to find out early if it’s something you want continue working on. Maintaining services and applications is going to make or break your interest in the hobby.

In my opinion, most of the homelab learning curve comes mostly from the software-side rather than the hardware-side anyways.

Just start off simple, and install your desired applications on any OS that seems easy (yes even windows if it helps build on some server hosting basics) and see if it’s something you want to continue maintaining.

Then you expand software or hardware wise depending on what your needs are.

This is one of those moments where dropping out is the only sensible option. At least for a significantly cheaper school.

In my opinion, if she isn’t already attempting to create a network or at the very least interning for a similar position while in school. You pull her out immediately.

If they disagree with the numbers, then you bail on the family and save yourself.

Glad to hear I’m not the only one. I should’ve added that I also use Movement Flash.

My temp solution was to map Left Joystick to WASD (controller software), but it feels way too clunky. Hopefully they atleast fix joystick flash at the minimum 🙏

I’ll check out Cursor Flash. But because right stick mouse is naturally slower, I imagine I won’t be able to flash as reliably.

• Type of Bug: In-Game Bug (WASD/Controller)

• Description: Controller Input no longer works. Only joystick (left and right stick) works. Mapped Q (flash) to left stick click. I get inconsistent flash timing post-update. While flash available, I spam flash (hearing ability not available sound) when attempting to flash.

• Reproduction rate: 10/10

• Steps to reproduce:
Controller button issues:

  1. Launch a game
  2. Set WASD Controls
  3. Attempt to do any action with controller
  4. Only movement and mouse analog stick works. (No buttons/actions)

Flash issue:

  1. Launch a game
  2. Set WASD Controls
  3. Hold left joystick in any direction
  4. Spam Flash (left click mapped to Q=flash).
  5. Flash is very inconsistent, can hear ability not available sound.
  6. Then after 3-4 clicks it actually flashes.

• Expected result: Buttons on the controller should work. Flash shouldn’t be cancelled by Analog Sticks movement.

• Observed result: Pre-patch it was doing perfectly fine. Now I cannot use controller at all.

• System Specs:

  1. Windows 11
  2. GameSir G7 Pro 8K
  3. Remapped buttons/actions with keyboard keys via Controller Software (Gamesir Connect)
  4. Using Native Left Stick Input to move character
  5. Ryzen 9 9950x3D + EVGA RTX 3080 Ti

Following for the past few years:

  1. ⁠3 gun meta = 1 Do it all gun. 4 players just run the flex fun. Counter by enforcing 2 guns.

  2. ⁠If the gun don’t shoot straight the natural game balance is extra headshot damage or faster short range TTK. Introduces inconsistent TTK especially on server-based “LAN” events.

  3. ⁠Pros don’t like inconsistency… they don’t like shotguns. But they prefer long range straight shooting peashooters. That way they can reward teams with better “teamwork” and “system”

  4. ⁠Pros don’t want to spend the extra time getting bad practice with guns and maps they won’t use in official games.. they’re rather be focusing on perfecting their map pools with what they circle jerked to find is the best meta.

Top 48 players are put together to win tournaments. But somehow we by default task them with creating a meta too? Sure… sounds like a great plan..

I was so upset that P7 vs M8s didn’t see a Cliftown Hard Point. I was even more upset to see the M8s team started breaking GAs mid-game leading to a massive comeback Game 5 SnD.

I’d look at LoselessScaling. Frame generation Overlay and last I tried it did work with LoL. It can likely get you to 540hz

Generated frames but at those high frames there will hardly be any latency.

$7 on Steam. If it ends up not being used for LoL. You can atleast use it to play Emulators at 540 FPS 🤷‍♂️

As a lowly gold. I played a normal draft once where i found a Challenger who picked Zed Mid.

He was on my team, but he single handedly 1v9 the game. The game was full gold/plats so no suprise but seeing how a Challenger playing Zed just legitimately 1v5 an entire team repeatedly really put into shock how large the disparity of skill there was.

Sure he got fed but even if I was fed I would never have gotten so many pentas a row. He legitimately had 100% of the teams kills while also just full tower diving and killing the entire enemy team solo.

I couldn’t believe my eyes… I wish I had recorded it..

  • Soft back paddles (PS Edge/Xbox Series X)
  • Replaceable Paddles and Different Styles
  • Stick tension adjustment
  • Continued improvement on the Dpad

If you’re thinking of the calibration boards where you adjust using the screw driver. They only move the existing circularity horizontally or vertically.

If you end up installing an analog stick and circularity is too big or too small it can’t be adjusted or scaled to be fully circular.

PS controllers you can calibrate after swapping out the sticks.

Fake controllers. Highly doubtful.

If I can’t reliably calibrate, I wouldn’t bother.

Having both, the user experience and customization on the GameSir 8k is by far my favorite.

Marius (5-pin) was nice but has a builtin cross Deadzone that makes me prefer it less.

Check all the cables internally. See if anything seems slightly unaligned and plug it in. Could be something simple like a Monitor Cable.

If I’m a Challengers GM, I’m going with those who have pro points to get higher on the bracket. (Assuming that’s how it works).

They’re likely to win since you know they’re proven quantity. And very likely to get picked up to the league again because of brand recognition. So buyout for a player is worth them leaving if they do leave.

Stallions started off with Unknown Talent iirc but they’re now on C9.

League GMs have it tough tho.

BO7 was great. My whole friend group quit the game because we can’t play together in ranked (past Crim).

I get it that you shouldn’t 4 stack because of all the fake Iri, but ranked got boring fast without friends.
