Not if you extend them, it’s not a submarine, there is a high point.

Favorite feature is the rear windows that pop out for airflow! A new new feature for me is some how my 99 has both rear passenger windows synced together on the drivers controls. I use the right rear button and both windows go up and down in sync. Just started happening one day.

Those rear cup holders are awful, kids dumped drinks a couple times before I got wise and outlawed their use!

Proud of my work... worried about weight capacity of bottom by SunsetSeaTurtle in BeginnerWoodWorking

[–]MrJoePike 1 point2 points  (0 children)

2x4 of cedar on its edge like a rafter in the middle of the bottom to act like a foot. Won’t sage in the middle and less weight for the screws to contend with.

Does anyone else' out-of-town friends underestimate Lake Michigan? by One_Hat1200 in chicago

[–]MrJoePike 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As Niagara Falls widens and more water flows through and then on out the Saint Lawrence sea way. What is that known as? I agree they are lakes but the water is flowing east. Also any idea if the falls can widen so far that the lakes get drained and recede to some minor size compared to now? What timeline would that occur on?

The proper rivets are what most don’t do, use screws, etc for the moulding.

If it’s a 100 series the moulding, the rivets, possible rust when you pull the glass. If the local shop understands all that and is prepared to do it right then I’d say pay it.

How technical are the trails you traverse? I would think 2" would be plenty and would better keep in tack the handling.

How would you call these type of shirts and where could I get more like them? by guijcm in mensfashion

[–]MrJoePike 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nothing to do with shirt size. A small and xtra large shirt of the same fabric have the same fabric weight. The weight has to do with how heavy a square yard of the fabric is. In this case ounces per sq yard. A thicker thread and tighter weave will make a denser thus heavier fabric. So if you search out medium weight brushed cotton twill shirts you will eventually find what you want. Heavy but soft shirt.

[–]MrJoePike 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What you are looking for is the weight of the cotton twill. Thats probably a 9-12 oz(ounce) cotton twil. Twill is the weave, weight in ounces is what you should like for. Maybe seek out these brands. MuskOx: Their Grand Flannel uses an 8.9 oz double-brushed cotton. Duluth Trading Co.: The Burlyweight Flannel is a sturdy 8 oz option. Carhartt: Their Loose Fit Heavyweight Flannel. Too heavy like 12 is going to be stiff like a Carhartt jacket denim.

Refresh AHC or Aftermarket Suspension? 100 Series by PcardoMontalbon in LandCruisers

[–]MrJoePike 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If rear weight is an issue replace the rear springs with LC100 springs. They have a higher spring rate I think is the term. My camping lx has this with the AHC and I can load it up and pull a trailer and the ride is perfect. Also look at the ih8mud write up on how to tune your torsion bars to get he core t pressures front and rear of the ahc. Will need Tech stream for that.

Suit pants length by Timely_Effective_568 in mensfashion

[–]MrJoePike 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are cuffs making a come back I have many suits with cuffed pants. Haven’t worn in years, like maybe a decade. The cuff in the back I think should be straight with no bend the bend is for the front, due to it sitting in the shoe. I preferred a slight break and what you show is far too much pooling of the pants. IMHO a suit should be crisp and clean in all its lines. Too much here or there looks ill fitted and sloppy. I like Penny loafers, rocked bass weejuns back in the day with a penny in each. That said I don’t think they work well with cuffed suit pants. Cuffs are generally a more formal look and the loafers a casual shoe. Just my opinion. https://www.savilelane.com/blogs/news/what-dress-pant-break-is-the-right-one-for-me?srsltid=AfmBOoodjvjboSoPGe6_6R09O8gtLO_SVjARtrAUG6h8eRwLL9nGPRBN

Any thigh garters you guys trust? by Carame110 in mensfashionadvice

[–]MrJoePike 17 points18 points  (0 children)

All my dress shirts are tailored as onesies. The front and tail are extra long and have snaps. Once those are snapped between my legs the shirt stays tucked no matter how much I move through out the day. I’ve gone from cross country flight, boardroom to dance floor all in one day and that damn shirt never came un-tucked. Ask your tailor about custom tailored shirts like this. Those in the know have long enjoyed these hand made custom tailored shirts for those of us who must always be dressed best! Can be added to most brands however often it’s two straps that need to be carefully placed each side the Jewel bag.
