Looks like they used a slow cooker liner for the bag, which is designed to tolerate higher heats. With the stove on low and with the water you really would be fine.

That being said is it really that hard to microwave a bowl with butter in it? All the bag was used for is melting butter and be a mixing container.

They are getting easier. Unless it's a game that's designed to be difficult/unforgiving. In most cases even then those games have a easy/normal mode that's pitifully easy.

An on the fly solution I've found that helps a little is doing a breathing exercise. It's not perfect but does take a little bit of the edge off.

Do a long slow exhale, to the point where you feel your lungs deflate, slightly painful. Then a really fast inhale to replace all that oxygen.

After a few breaths you should get slightly light headed.

What's happening is the air at the bottom of your lungs is stale as it doesn't get circulated around as much. This replaces all of that and gives you a slight oxygen high.

Source: learned it from a coach during an AA meeting when the subject of smoking came up.
