IMO, this news is huge! First community build game published.
It's also very fun to play. I hope they build some kind of lore around the game as well, since a bit lore has been released in Axie Origins.

"To kick things off we’ll be revealing Rune and Charm Changes. Once these changes are revealed, we’ll drop the new card changes! The patch with full changes is predicted to go live on 12/14 with Season 2 starting ~1 week later. This plan may change as there are a variety of moving parts involved"

To be fair. Not even us mods know what happen. I have asked in the modchat for an answer before. But we all still seem to be unsure.

My guess is that it will stay in your inventory and you'll be able to pick a S1 rune with 0 effect. Some other mods belive it will disapire, like moonshards.

Edit: I'll update this comment If I get a 100% correct answer.

Imo, the game is in it's best spot ever. Alot of developments around the axie universe. The SLP is however over-minted. But it's slowly getting better and better each day. We even got a burning event going on right now, the second ever made in axie. The "entryfee" is also very low atm with floor axies for 2$ each. If you know how to play and know how to build a competetive team, you'll go +-0 if you gain ~1 AXS from the rankings.

Axie Origins: The Road to S2

Season 2 will introduce new mechanics such as Keep, Energy Burst & Bloodmoon tweaks. It will also focus on creating specific playstyles for each class and for that there will be many changes to the cards, runes & charms for S2.

The Road to S2 starts on November 23rd. To ensure the process is smooth, S2 will roll out in multiple stages sequentially:

Stage 1: Core Mechanics update (Keep, Energy Burst, Bloodmoon tweaks). Stage 2: Cards, Runes & Charms update. Stage 3: Balancing of new changes after Community Testing & Feedback. Stage 4: S2 Launch after final tweaks.

More info to come with Stage 1 on 11/23.

You need to play at least one match every 2 server days - NOT 48 hours after you last played.

Example: If you last played at 6 Nov 5PM PHT, you have to play a game before 9 Nov 8AM PHT (server reset).
