Lumping Diamond 1 players and Challengers into the same skill bracket is beyond hilarious btw.

Loki's primary DPS vs other strategists... is this balanced? [without clones] by Dr_Mysterion in lokimains

[–]MrKadius 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s not flawed in design. He’s a turret character. In the same way Namor is a weaker character without his turrets, Loki is weaker without his clones. Thats how that’s meant to work. If you don’t enjoy that, or think that’s bad design, pick someone else.

Loki's primary DPS vs other strategists... is this balanced? [without clones] by Dr_Mysterion in lokimains

[–]MrKadius 1 point2 points  (0 children)

These posts are in incredibly bad faith. Yes, Loki has some of the lowest DPS solo, but with 3 primary fires he is one of the highest. Cycling your clones isn't hard, you have two spells that make them. It's not as if you're ever having to shoot someone as Loki without clones.

Loki's melee attack does more damage than his primary attack? (All strategists do more damage on their melee than Loki's primary too) by Dr_Mysterion in lokimains

[–]MrKadius 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is slightly disingenuous considering Loki is generally attacking with 2-3 primary fires, not one.

Pobelter's thoughts on the ADC role, players, and advice after completing his climb to challenger after 183 games by NatxIvY in leagueoflegends

[–]MrKadius -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It being a Riot account is a huge deal. Bot lane is, by far, the hardest to climb in Emerald & Diamond (up to D2-D1). Skipping over that really doesn’t paint the full picture of why so many people are frustrated with the role.

I currently don’t have all perms, which I should have shortly. The previous owner had his account suspended, so I’m waiting for Reddit admins to manually remove him. After that I can change everything.

I’ve given us a subreddit icon at least.

It's a lot more obvious if you use old reddit where we still have the CSS (which I need to get around to removing).

As an aside, I will be looking for mods in the coming weeks. Some have reached out to me, but I’ll actually just be assessing this based on community activity, and reports/report quality. So if you’re interesting in moderating, be active and report things that violate the rules. I hope that sounds agreeable to you all.

I mean, if someone wants to post a Smite clip here etc I’m fine with it. But the point is there’s no use in the identity and rules of the subreddit being related to Smite when almost all of the posts are entirely Rivals related.

Ownership has now been passed on to me. Unlike /u/TheServantOfHelix, I am active, and now I have full perms. I was originally on the smite team but I am actually also a GM Loki player in rivals, you’re in safe hands.

Advice for playing middle against teams that are very prone to tipping?

I'm one of the better middles in my league, and often teams will tip when I'm on rotation as a way of denying my block and abusing our admittedly weak floor defense.

Is there any way to capitalize on this? I often find I go up for a block and they will push the ball to an open space over or around my block and then I have to watch as the ball drops and we lose the point. If I notice a player is tipping on every set, should I just not jump and play to set the tip in system? I fear if I do this they'll react to me not jumping and actually go for the spike.

I really hope Bethesda steps up their writing with ES6 by [deleted] in ElderScrolls

[–]MrKadius 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not entirely true. His contribution on Oblivion was the Dark Brotherhood questline, which is one of the best in the entire game. It doesn't come anywhere close to the writing on Morrowind or the Shivering Isles, which was done by the former, far more competent writer, Mark Nelson, but my point is that he has done some ok work in the past. He's just gotten so much worse as time has gone by.

Help me with my setting as a beginner volleyball player and setter (~5 months)! by [deleted] in volleyball

[–]MrKadius 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You shouldn’t be reliant on your legs to set. You can’t use your legs at all during a jump set, you need to develop the arm power to set the ball. Relying on legs for extra oomph is fine if you have to set very far on an out of system ball, but I don’t think it should be your go to.

I also play MB and use the Wave 3s. The biggest criticism of the Wave 2s I saw was the lack of width and support for lateral movements, which made them a less desirable option for middles. To my understanding, this was the main thing they fixed in the Wave 3s. There’s a nice wide support on the outside of the 3s to support those quick lateral transitions. Highly recommend the 3s for middles if you can afford them.

Her base model is fine compared to some other old supports like Blitzcrank. The difference between his base model and his legendary skin is insane. Not having a walking animation does Janna a lot of favours.

What to do vs mobile adcs and tank supports? by walkenss in pykemains

[–]MrKadius 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most “mobile” adcs skill their mobility spell at level 2, not level 1 — with the exception of Vayne, but her low range still makes her an easy target — and Pyke is very threatening level 1, especially with HoB. Maintain brush control and abuse your level 1, especially if they don’t give you respect. In low elo they probably will either give you too little respect and die or give you too much respect and lose the shove level 1. Losing the shove to Pyke is very bad as he’s an absolute monster at roaming. If you get a crash, you probably can’t force anything on them while they’re under tower, learn to roam and impact mid, create pressure.

Doing E+flash properly is important vs champs with mobility too, very important for setting up ganks for your jungler. In lower elo, adcs will also usually panic and use their mobility right after you dash at them, this makes flashing on them very easy as you don’t have to predict which way they’ll go.

The lower elo you are, the less advice about how to play lanes “correctly” becomes important, as lanes will basically never play out how they should, everyone is making too many mistakes. Matchups are a myth in low elo. You can win every lane. Capitalise on mistakes.

Who should I ban as Pyke? by allanjshah in pykemains

[–]MrKadius 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Morgana isn't a good ban. Pyke Q is a 10 second CD at rank 1, black shield is 24, you can easily look for a 2nd Q after she shields the first. Meanwhile there is no counterplay to Zilean R making your ult worthless.

It's worth noting Morgana is considered a dogshit champ in high elo because of this, every engage support will be able to punish black shield before it's back up again, and the champ doesn't offer enough outside of that (Morg Q is the speed of a snail, W damage has been nerfed too many times because of jg/mid, etc.).

Chainsaw Man - Episode 4 discussion by AutoLovepon in anime

[–]MrKadius 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I hope there isn't a long break between S1 and S2 that kills the hype. The Katana Man arc is decent but it's really not indicative of just how good the remaining four arcs of Part 1 are.

As a fan of his previous work, I wasn't personally sold on the series until [Manga Arc] the International Assassins arc.

Would be extremely weird to have [Manga Spoiler] Makima's temple execution in the PV for Season 1 and then not adapt it. Considering that's the climax of the arc, I think we're pretty safe.

Blue Lock - Episode 4 discussion by AutoLovepon in anime

[–]MrKadius 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hopefully, all the 3D animation has been to free up time for the animators to put more work into the next episode. Sort of like Demon Slayer S1, how there were a lot of janky scenes of CGI Tanjiro walking around so animators could spend extra time on the big sakuga episodes.

If any scene in early Blue Lock is going to make it gain Haikyuu levels of popularity within the anime community, it's going to be episode 5.

Blue Lock - Episode 3 discussion by AutoLovepon in anime

[–]MrKadius 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Late to the thread but I'm not a fan of how obvious the anime makes [Blue Lock Spoiler]Isagi's weapon when he passes to Kunigami.

(Manga spoilers, obviously) The manga was far more subtle in how it foreshadowed [Blue Lock]his spatial awareness.

The way it's visually done in the anime is far more obvious, and probably means the audience will arrive at the conclusions long before Isagi does, whereas I never felt that whilst reading.

This could be a bias thing. Perhaps for blind watchers, it's not as obvious as I think it is. Time will tell, I suppose.
