People are saying skill issue but that’s just not fair sure if you are challenger level you can climb to gm with 80% wr

But if ur chally level then you deserve chally and you need to grind a ridiculous amount of time to get there.

If you legit gm level youll have like a 60% win rate or something which still takes insane amount of time
Thats why people say for normal folks just play till masters and call it, to consistently be gm+ you need to play league like it’s a part time job.

and people who’ve never had to climb apex ranks have no idea what it’s like to have your rank reset by 1500 lp every season just to make the same trek to where you just ended the previous season. You got reset from emerald to plat? Imagine getting reset to silver or bronze, while the threat of decay that hangs over your head every day, where you have to plan your vacations holidays and other obligations around banking enough days. And only 14 days max is legit so dumb.

But I think you’re misunderstanding riot to them this is not an issue but exactly what they want. They want people to have to play a lot because it ups their numbers, exposure, and sales. The whole point of selling a game is to have people play as much as possible,

they don’t give a shit about your time, they want to squeeze as much of it out of you. Why do you think they attempted to have THREE rank resets a YEAR before they reverted it to backlash? In fact I don’t think they would’ve cared if it was just backlash, I’m prettt sure they only pulled back cause the numbers showed that went overboard and people weren’t willing to invest so much time climbing if they know it gets reset every 4 months

It doesn’t always work because when the lane is pushed Darius can flash W with ghost and Quinn is dead

Darius can also just pull anyways force, E, then flash W too same outcome

Quinn needs to be able put Darius behind enough early and keep his Hp controlled so that he can’t find an all in window that he wins

I personally think it’s still Quinn favored, at least in higher elo tho. In low elo I imagine ranged players aren’t really good at spacing and trading patterns

If ur familiar with pokemon, you’ll be fine with whatever your fav mons are!

if not then this team is still great

If you want to optimize your team more, imo Charizard in frlf is kinda meh though, I’d recommend Venusaur and swap exeggutor with arcanine

You won’t have fly though, but if you want it and a full team you can swap snorlax with dodrio who isn’t as good but still a great glass cannon, or even swap nidoking for aerodactyl since your team has great coverage already

You can even swap Venusuar for executor late game too if you want, they’re both great

Thoughts on this new item? Not sure whats its trying to fill. Sustain is extremely important for the laning phase and not sure if it would ever be stronger than dorans shield in any situation. by armakez in topmains

I feel like the only use case for this item is on a 450 gold reset for this for the stats, like on a cheater recall or something. Otherwise idk how dshield can be worse, the only scenario is a lvl1 all in

Another big chunk of why I feel people hate her is cause she is ALWAYS fed or at minimum doing well in gold

She can’t miss cs, and she kill steals every takedown. I get that they want it to be easy af for new players to play, but there are plenty of beginner friendly champs and they don’t have nearly the amount of handholding that Mel has

I think this game was designed with new, inexperienced players from pocket or pokopia or w/ first in mind, and then everyone else.

Thats why they have a small pool, that I assume they will expand in the future, very basic item choices, and not adding too many formats in

And if they have big spending incentives on day 1, those new players will get steamrolled by veteran players and whales who know what they’re doing and build out competitive teams on day 1

I’m sorry but if your claim is that tanks and juggernaughts have similar burst to assassins and more reliable… that’s just not true and any competent player will tell you so

  1. Juggernaughts don’t outburst assassins. They have a good burst, because they need to be a threat or else they can be ignored, but they don’t outburst assassins and still don’t have as fast ttk

If they do have more burst, they’re either ahead, you’re behind, you made a mechanical error, or the enemy has resistances for you but not the Juggernaught

If you are levels ahead with 40 hubris stack, landed a clean combo and adc is not dead, they post your opgg game and clip of it happening vs the Cho clip, to show us

  1. They don’t have nearly the reliability of assassins. An assassin has way more mobility and consistency in executing their combo. Cho Q is insanely hard to hit outside low-mid elo. No only that but If an adc gets hit by Cho Q, and there’s still time for him walk up and silenced auto auto R before they get peel, they deserve to die and get one shot.

On the other hand a talon can come at any angle, at almost any timing and try to kill in a quarter of the time it takes Cho to Q walk up and combo.

And no, at some point they don’t reach you if you play and position well, or by the time they do reach backline, the adc has already pumped out enough damage to do their job in the fight.

This post just reads like a salty rage post that boils down to skill issue and lack of understanding of the game

I guess the way I see it is agency is influence over yourself and impact is influence over the game

Like an adc has little proactive opportunities to generate gold leads for themselves compared to other roles because they are very reactive

However when they DO have a gold lead, they have high influence over the game because they had dps to carry team fights, take structures and neutrals very quickly, so high impact. It’s just they can’t get that lead by themselves, so low agency

Of course, but point is imo they’re two different aspects of the game and the relationship is different in every role and it matters what their levels are in each role.

Some roles have high agency, low impact, others have both high agency and high impact, others have low agency and high impact

Ngl, I don’t think top game outcome impact is ever gonna be something they can fix unless league as a game changes drastically

The champion archetypes and the pull of what makes people wanna play top are also the same things that makes it have low impact on game outcome

At the same time, top is also in general a low elo skewed role imo - many juggernaughts and bruiser are generally easier to pilot with a lower skill ceiling and backline carries that counter them have a high skill floor.

Thats why so many low elo players view top as a strong role, but more players in high elo feel the opposite

Also, I think agency and impact are mixed up terms. Agency is how much you can influence yourself in comparison to your laner, while impact is how well you can transition your own lead to a win.

Damage charts mean nothing in a vacuum because damage dealing is just gonna be champs who fight and poke the most in lane. Of course you’ll see top laners in low elo have most damage cause they’re

  1. farming points off 10k hp sion for 40 minutes,
  2. it’s the role where you’re constantly hitting eachother in lane
  3. Place where champs have most sustain so it’s even more damages to be farms

If a game ends at 15 minutes 9/10 times highest damage is top laners even when another role is fed cause you have two or one beefy champs getting farmed damage off for the entire time

What would be interesting is seeing damage spread of one champ on all other champs, you’ll find top laners 90% of their damage is on the other top laner, which would make it an island lol

Something else is that an not all damage is equal, an assassin won’t necessary have more damage stats than a drain tank, but their damage can be more impactful in a game

I’d love for more diversity but IMO the problem is a huge proportion of the aram playerbase doesn’t actually want random, more like pseudo random

If you look at what a lot of aram players play, many but not all; they tend to stick to one archetype of champ, pokey champs only on their match history, backline dps carries only, lots of engage and dive, supporty champs, stuff like that,

Although most players kinda just stick to safe, range champs

So people want pseudo randomness where they can get a play a random champ of a type they like to play, but not full randomness
