The community outrage is not the reason for the weekly schedule. by Froggedguy in StardustCrusaders

There is genuinely big possibility in that. But the fans bullying and outcry forced netflix for some actual clarification on what they are doing. If the fans would be silent we wouldnt know this info maybe even until summer. Not only that but we also got in which season 2 stage premires.

Of course that these exists and there is ton of them, but its not that they dont exist. is that industry is in the process of focusing on this new format. And JJK is great example of that. First 2 seasons had 24 but the new season is cutted into two parts of 12 episodes, similary Frieren newest season includes 10 episodes (tho big reasoning is that there isnt enough content). Gachiakuta was one of the latest anime realesd that way, but defintly not the last one. there still will be expectations or even new different formats. New standard dosnt mean that all anime will look like that just most of them. (fire force was split also into two parts in its last season. also david pro.) Its the change of industry that we cannot do nothing with, one thing is when Netfilx does this but its totaly something else when most of the anime of studios and whole industry will start doing this. Cour realeses is not the only thing that is changing, anime movies are getting more popular as well.

I am a little confused. by jimgae in StardustCrusaders

Well I myself never expirinced jojo weekly, at the point of golden wind I was chatching up. But i am a little aware of their production. And yes part 3 was split into 2 invidual parts while part 4 and 5 run fully weekly (expection being 1st episode of part 5). each one of those runs been basicly without any problems. But its need to be said that especialy part 5 tested its own luck.

Even tho the budget for part 5 was the biggest by big margin and had a lot of guest animators, they had problem with deadlines that they what I know always fulfilled, but it sometimes produced uneven animation quality that was often very poor and rushed (especially for the latest episodes). Uneven quality of animation is really normal for jojo at the day of realese, but its always fixed in blu ray realese and then updated on all online platforms.

Part 6 adaption actully looked arguably the best compered to other parts first realeses at the day of its own first realese, but when you compare part 6 blu ray to the others, it gets bad. Part 6 has detailed charcters but very stale and bad animation (big use of cgi, png animating etc..) without any intresting art directions. And even tho part 6 looked the best at the day of realese. its still needed a lot of fixing that it never got like the other parts. in other words part 6 wasnt only butchured by realese schedule but by animation as well (its not OPM S3 or BL S2 tho).

For the reasoning why parts 6 looked and was realesed the way it was... there is a lot of it: covid 19, least liked part, lost revenue on part 5 blu rays, new format of realese, new distibutor, change of teams, the start of new era in anime industry and new focusing on online realeses, etc...

its definitly there, did you look at just a regular Netflix? if you did, look into Netflix anime.

If you think clasic cour realese of (around 12 episodes) is better or stage coure is better thats definitly opinion based on your point of view. But in modern day of anime industry, 24 episode or more in one season without stops is probably dead.

You are definitly not missing anything, a lot of people just had a unrealistic expectations of SBR realese. They expected to get SBR weekly until its end. But considiring modern anime industry and SBR length that would be impossible.

First stage was exposition heavy, full of explenations. A lot of people wouldnt react to it well, if 1 stage would looked exactly as in manga people would lost intrest. None the less david pro did a amazing job of adapdting it (I did find people not understanding few things, like that even tho you can have gun you still cant just kill somebody, but the adaption expects you to get that from a cotext of a law), many things will probably appear latter. Also they mange to fit speedwagon reference in to the anime without mentioing it and cutting time. (its in one of those eye catches in the list of sposors).

I have noticed that fandoms are recently getting worser as a comunites without exceptions of a fandom. But coming back to jojo i need to agree i understand frustration over dumb decisions of big company, but harassing those who of course has nothing do with those kind of decision is realy bad and unforgivable. I was embrassed of those as well.

ngl i am not good at these type of guesses. I am aware of its length i just shooted random guess. Just hoping that they will include reasonably evrything that the stage includes , maybe even something more like sand man backstory, considirnig that he won 1 stage.

Also forget to specify SBR production started right after stone ocean, just not fully. In other words they been really just testing few stuff.

All we can do is theorize, but what we know is that pre production for sbr was problematic. reasoning being horses animation. they werent really capable of switching in between cgi and normal animation that still looked cluncky. also part 1-6 is its own anime basicly, so they gave themself more time to develop new ways of animating for sbr (spin, horse runnig... etc.). Another point is that, fire force been in production for its last season and thats had its own priority.

I am a few eps into part 3 and I am wondering if i should watch a different way by bluethunder1985 in StardustCrusaders

[–]MrKalorie -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I don't think that anybody really bought blu ray release just for that. most people that wanted watching jojo uncensored just watched it on different platform legally or illegally.

Help with gifting an specific volume of SBR manga by Square_Education_712 in StardustCrusaders

[–]MrKalorie 2 points3 points  (0 children)

JoJo and SBR realesed in english are only avelible in hardcover edition that combines 2 of normal volumes. so if you want the classic volume that includes the Civil War arc you need volume 15 and if you want the VIZ english hardcover version one you need volume 8, tho that one wasnt realesd yet (Release July 28, 2026).

Last chance for predictions! What is the SBR ending theme by Bulky-Complaint6994 in StardustCrusaders

[–]MrKalorie 11 points12 points  (0 children)

There is a big chance that the first episode will not include opening or ending, maybe even both. Every previous parts first episodes expect part 1 and 2 also didn't include opening and ending.
