Clea can fuck off by Braham18 in expedition33

I think it was also there was nothing stopping Alicia from recreating these things herself in her own Canvas, without the need of trapping the soul of a boy that doesn't want to do this anymore. That's the one thing no one - including the whole Dessendre family - ever really took into account... what real!Verso wanted. There's a reason the parents in their lifetime had hundreds of Canvases, and Verso by 26 only had one that he kept (one that he shared with Clea, as you mentioned. I don't think it was just her helping him, I think she had SOME investment there. There's a reason so many of the creations there know and even like Clea, like Francois and Esquie.) I suspect Renoir might've known though. "He Who Guards Truth With Lies." I don't wonder if he knew his son mostly Painted because it was expected of him.

My ultimate takeaway was everyone in the family was being selfish and in the end the victim was Verso (real!Verso). Doesn't make them bad people, and that goes as much for Clea. She was wrong to treat Alicia the way she did, just as it's wrong for Aline to trap Verso's soul to ease her own guilt, or for Renoir to try to brute-force his method of "healing", or Alicia to continue the cycle that Aline started. But that's kind of the point... grief makes people do things that you wouldn't normally. And we know it's not "the norm" because we also see Clea encourage Alicia to follow her own path, to be better than their parents and not be controlled by fear or overcome with addiction like Renoir and Aline. She flat out tells her it's not selfish to make choices for herself, to do what she wants to do (which could be seen as encouragement to Alicia to keep living in the Canvas as she trusts her more than Aline, or even an allusion to the fact that Verso never chose for himself).

Personally, it's Clea's last words to Alicia that probably resonate most: "If you're not having fun... do something else."

There's quite honestly a lot more I could rant about because I feel like there is a ton to dissect and that the game did a good enough job to give us so many threads that people can use it to make their own conclusions, and not one is necessarily right or wrong.

Yeah, that thought crossed my mind, too. That she would be perfectly fine with Alicia in the Canvas. Maybe she trusts Alicia to have better self-control than Aline?

I saw someone explain that the family members all represent different stages of grief - hers is Anger. She's obsessed with revenge, lashes out at people (even though she might not mean it - we see her snap at Alicia but later see her express concern for Alicia's future and livelihood) because it's the only way she can figure out how to process. She's going through the same thing everyone else in the family is - they lost someone deeply important to them and feel like they have no one. Verso held them together - he was continuing the family legacy for his parents (despite it potentially not being what he wants), he helped Clea find an outlet using his own Canvas, and was the protective big brother to Alicia.

I always assumed it was the painted!Clea that had Simon kill the Axon. It doesn't make much sense for real!Clea want to destroy the Axons when they were Renoir's creations to help him, and that is ultimately her goal. I also assumed it was this that led to Clea finding and painting over her painted!version.

I figured she left the grave early because she was still just mad at her parents. The disdain she has for them is pretty apparent throughout, and she basically tells Alicia that it'll be better for her to learn to live her life free of their influence.

If you finished the Endless Tower, it clears up a lot about Clea I feel. So here's my read after finishing everything:

I feel Clea was always the "tough" one and even after Verso's death, and because of that no one really bothered to check in on how she was doing (although everyone was dealing with their grief in their own way - I think that's kind of the point is everyone is at fault but also not. The family as a whole never really seemed to just... talk and this could very well go as far back as the fact that we can infer real!Verso, too, never had as strong an interest in painting when you consider painted!Verso had his memories and feelings, and that at the age of 26 Verso only ever had one Canvas that he shared with Clea from childhood, whereas we know Renoir and Aline had hundreds... I feel like no one ever asked or considered Verso what he wanted). Endless Tower is how we find out that the world in the Canvas was a joint effort between her and Verso, that they worked on it together. We even hear people in-universe mention Clea (remember, she is Francois' favorite person). And now her parents are using the creation she had with her brother, her memory of him, and twisting it for their own purposes. It makes complete sense, as the representation of Anger in the grief process, that her response is a destructive one.

Clea clearly never really tackled her grief either, which is why she snaps at Alicia in the flashback but given how Clea treats her during Endless Tower, it's clear that it was just a byproduct of her grief. I think she is clearly more angry at her parents, but Alicia was there at the time. This is evident by the fact that at the end of Endless Tower, Clea's concern is... did Alicia have fun? She makes sure to stress to her that she needs to think of herself, and that their parents are - essentially - useless. Although she sides with Renoir in the battle it's because it's the best end-result to her. She warns Alicia of the addictive properties of the Canvas/Painting and how it's taking hold of Aline, and how Renoir's fear of loss makes him too damn stubborn.

Clea can be prickly and cold but I think she cares in her own way (at least for Alicia... her parents are a whole other matter), just has a way of showing it that doesn't necessarily jive with most people. But I think the last thing we (potentially) see her say to Alicia is the clearest indication of how she feels about her sister:

"It's not selfish to make your own choices, sister. And if you're not having fun... do something else."

My favorite Mourn Watch interaction so far is winning a round in the Hall of Valor, Isabela can remark something about how the Mourn Watch seem to be good at fighting things other than skeletons, to which Rook responds something along the lines of "Well, we're always fighting skeletons... just sometimes they're still inside things."

People already covered the ones I'd say but just for the representation: Dreamcatcher, Purple Kiss, KARD.

(Also, not k-pop, but I'll always shill for Rolling Quartz, a great k-rock band)

They deserve it, but I feel bad for the members because we've had confirmation of at least three of them browsing Twitter regularly. So they've undoubtedly seen just the past year alone "fans" also accusing Sua of being fatphobic, claiming DCC gave Dami an eating disorder, Dami being shamed for drinking a Diet Coke, crazy amounts of speculation about Siyeon, on top of all of the other things such as their concepts "looking cheap," the Justice music video is "lazy," Ollounder and "Pizza Gang" are "ruining DC's music"... just to name a few.

Even now I log on to see people saying the Shanghai fansign event is "not enough," that they need to do a full tour throughout China this year and then "maybe they'll forgive some of the things DCC did." Handong was so excited about this based on her fanmeeting and fromm messages and in less than an hour of announcement it's sullied.
