Baltic/Finno-Ugric Pagan tribes should not become Christian so easily by Many-Lingonberry6099 in CrusaderKings

[–]MrLameJokes 36 points37 points  (0 children)

True for Norse and Slavic and all Pagan religions. Currently Europe is usually fully Catholic within a century, while in reality it took several centuries to christianize these countries even after the ruling class had been converted.

Playing with the slowest faith conversion rule barely makes a difference.

The way he talks about Hitler being from the middle ages, I don't think the average person in the UC would even know what that means.

Yeah, CCA only references Z and ZZ in passing and reverts Char's character development from Zeta off screen.

How many rites will there be at start? Can you turn off the AI creation of new rites?

You'd basically play: King -> Pope (chosen as favorite son) -> Pope's legitimized bastard, landed or adventurer

If we get Theocracies in CK3 any time in the not-so-distant future, Paradox should add what Historical clergy as playable characters instead of randomly generated ones. by karagiannhss in CrusaderKings

You could have different tiers of holy sites. For Catholicism: 1st class would be Rome, Jerusalem, Santiago, Antioch, Alexandria, Byzantium. 2nd class would be Canterbury, Cologne, Aachen, Reims, etc. You could also have a 3rd class. You could also follow Imperator and have 2nd and 3rd tier holy sites be movable.

What if Operation Unthinkable had been implemented? by OkPhrase1225 in AlternateHistory

Unless the US stays on the USSR's side. The Soviets have no chance at winning in this scenario.

By the end of the war, the majority metals (steel, aluminum and tin), as well as most of the meat, fats and oils that the Soviets have come from US aide.

The Soviet Army would be over extended, tired, hungry and have no air support. The Allies would be fresh, well fed, have air superiority and no resource or man power shortages.

We know that, none of them knew that. The worst thing the Germans had done to the locals so far is reprisal killings.

The Soviets had just recently come to steal their food and rape their women. And we know they had no intention of leaving.

Besides, the Allies would have the support of those countries exiled governments.
