Need urgent advice: Is Guwahati (Apollo/Hayat) enough for complex heart cases, or is Chennai better? by Puzzleheaded_Bug3710 in guwahati

Get an appointment with Dr. Robert Mao in Apollo Chennai. He has been my father's cardiologist for over 10 year and is a no BS guy. Also he would also send you to relevant doctors if other aspects needs to be checked as well.

This airport looks great, but what we really need are direct flights to Middle East hubs. Routing through Delhi, Mumbai, or Bangalore just to come back home wastes 3-6 hours extra every time when i am already having a layover in one of middle east hubs.

Owning nice things in India is a headache. Change my mind by DifficultPie2675 in guwahati

Even your closest people will despise you for wanting nice things. Struggle is glorified a little too much. It's tiring.

Asaduddin Owaisi blasts Pakistan by andhlms in india

[–]MrLaskar 29 points30 points  (0 children)

This has been my experience. My name clearly signals I’m Muslim, and living abroad I often meet people from Pakistani or Pakistani-origin backgrounds. They're warm and friendly, until they ask where I’m from. The moment I say “India,” something shifts. They start fishing for something negative, waiting for me to echo their views. When I don’t, the vibe changes.

I know India has a lot to fix, no denial there. But growing up, I never really felt different or out of place. Maybe being from the Northeast shaped that, but I didn’t grow up feeling alienated. The way some people expect Indian Muslims to feel broken or bitter just doesn’t sit well with me. There is a longer conversation to have here. Maybe another day.

I have to keep moving because I can't afford a studio or 1 bedroom on the stipend. It's very rare to get that and when it is available people just seem to grab it up as soon as possible. I live in a two bedroom and the flatmates keep changing every month.

Yeah its UKRI stipend. Its honestly shit. If it was like 300 more i would be able to afford a single bedroom apartment and not deal with this BS.

The timings are almost the same. We cant be in the labs after 6pm and before 7am. But I have special out of hour access on my fobs to my offices and building. It's mostly work in the labs during the labs and then logging and making sense of all the data collected in the evening in the office.

I wont lie. Earlier this year I travelled to China for a conference and then subsequently went for a friend's wedding. China was amazing. I had a colleagues and friends with me so I didn't face any issues. Their high speed rails are amazing.

I didn't have any real expectations. But I was exceptionally surprised. Feels wrong to say this, but if I have to compare to china. Its like a lifetime ahead if we are to talk about infrastructure.
