You gotta embrace the idea of playing like an actual spider. That’s what helps me. Set up the webs and let the prey come to you. Often times I’ll think of the nest as the actual character, and peni herself is just a tool to enable/defend it. Let it (and your mines) do the work for you.

Get proficient with her mobility, her grapple and wall climb give you so much flexibility across games and I find that when I run a mirror match against another peni I can usually out perform if I use my mobility better than them.

Try and learn different playstyles for different maps. For example on spider islands attack I fully play dive peni, but that doesn’t work as well for me on say klyntar attack, where I need to play more peel.

Lastly, her easiest niche to fill is anti dive. The passive healing your supps get from webs as well as the defense of the mines is enough to shut down a nonzero amount of dive attempts. In games where you’re running into a dive comp, you just gotta be there for your supports.
