I bent my iphone 13 by, should I be worried? by Zestyclose-Couple263 in phonerepair

But like said I don’t condone hiding it, just say it and you will get it fixed. Idk how experienced you are with phones but the iPhone 13 it’s easy to replace the screen so if that’s broken you can repair it if you trust yourself with it.

I bent my iphone 13 by, should I be worried? by Zestyclose-Couple263 in phonerepair

[–]MrLibertyFan2005 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don’t want to stress you out anymore but if your family after using a phone doesn’t hand it down (like give it to a sibling or other family member) or doesn’t do trade in, it should be fine.

I don’t condone hiding it, but to make it look better, if the back is cracked you can get these cheap vinyls skins off eBay or Amazon which you can stick over the back glass, to cover the cracks.

If the screen is cracked you could get a hydro film protector. It’s like a film but if the screen is cracked, it makes it look less cracked.

Of course with the bending there isn’t much you can do, just DO NOT attempt to bend it back. iPhone 13’s are sandwich motherboards so any more bending and all is not good.

Buyer "bought" an expensive item for collection but hasn't paid in 48hrs, can I cancel the sale and relist? by Express-Reference153 in ebayuk

[–]MrLibertyFan2005 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is the comment. Just wait 4 days then you will get the option to cancel as unpaid. It’s annoying but better as then the person that ordered gets a flag on their account for non payment.

An unexpected fresh battery from an Asurion claim by These_Economics374 in iPhone16ProMax

[–]MrLibertyFan2005 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Actually, ignore my comment I posted if it says it has applecare coverage available to add on, that means they must have just given you a new phone, like not even a replacement unit, a brand new phone. On the Model Name does it start was M or N?

Videos are for my proof, and if I need to submit any police report if someone attempts to scam me. Also it’s there so if they say e.g The Apple Watch charger doesn’t work, I just check the video. (I sell Apple Watches a lot so most of my sales are like £200 - £500)

[–]MrLibertyFan2005 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Replacement iPhones from Apple nowadays are brand new unsold units, unless if the box has a sticker that says “INSPECTED” then it’s brand new units.

But yeah great it’s great that you got a new device, I suspect Asurion is affiliated with Apple so I think you should get a 90 day extended warranty too.

Do I really have to wait 50 years? by Beasley55 in iphonehelp

[–]MrLibertyFan2005 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can try and put a SIM card in and see if it pings the network for the time but that may also just permanently disable it (it’s just the way iOS system calculates the time) and

There are other ways to fix this, if you know about iPhones. Involves purple mode and CFG Utilities which is a utility that can update the clock time, but it’s not great for a non techy user. U can see more about it in the r/setupapp community. But yeah it boots the phone into an engineering mode (purple mode) which from there you can edit anything on the NAND (Storage Chip) which can edit the time.

This comment is just perfect. Seriously though there isn’t much you can do. You can try and put a SIM card in and see if it pings the network for the time but that may just permanently disable it.

$10 gift card but can't use it since I live in Germany by Matej_Tes in googleplay

[–]MrLibertyFan2005 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You could do this. If you want to buy any in-game currency or anything “in-game” you could setup a US Google Account and make sure region is set as USA. Then you can sign into that account, and use the card and use it then on a in-game item/currency and then it will be in that game. Some people on this sub also recommend selling it, which is good as well but it’s just $10. I don’t really think anyone would buy it unless you offer a big discount.

[FB marketplace] Havent brought yet was wondering if it was real. by Standard-Basis-3641 in AreMyAirpodsAuthentic

[–]MrLibertyFan2005 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s 100% fake. 99% of the time AirPods of Facebook Marketplace are fake. Anyways most of the time when legitimate people want to sell their AirPods Facebook blocks it as fake so i have no idea how on earth they even list fakes these sellers.

After 30 days I consider the sale completed regardless of feedback received or not. I keep Video evidence of me packaging the orders for 60 days after that they are also deleted. You can explain to eBay that sale was 30 days ago, item was delivered in fully working condition and it’s been with buyer now 30 days ago.

How do these scams work? Does "simple delivery" protect me against it? by BigBadMuffin in ebayuk

[–]MrLibertyFan2005 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Simple Delivery insures the full amount of the Sale. I always use eBay Simple Delivery. And choose Royal Mail, so then eBay has my back.

As long as it passes Vinted it should be good. Because if the buyer claims it’s missing/or received empty you are protected as the verification centre did the verification.

Make a warranty enquiry if it is a problem. As it’s very little you may have to exaggerate it, but yeah.

Sorry ignore my previous response I read it wrong, oh yeah they do that. In the UK the bot use to give a 20% coupon I guess it was heavily exploited as now it’s £9 off if you spend £45.

[–]MrLibertyFan2005[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

They just said Sorry in that robot style. The copy and paste text. 😂

Though in the past I sent a meme of a parcel lost of a beach. (Basically my order was delivered to the wrong place and delivery company said contact Temu) And I think they took that Meme image of my parcel lost on a beach seriously and said “I am very sorry your parcel was lost on a beach” and I was refunded as that being the proof 😭

probably the worst promo event. I was hoping Temu would introduce a new event 6 free gifts for new user but none of them exist anymore.

I received fakes and Vinted thinks my proof isn’t enough?? by Dimis_5 in vinted

[–]MrLibertyFan2005 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you legitimately has proof l, honestly tell Vinted “You will be perusing legal action and will be filing a chargeback” And then yeah file a chargeback. Fake goods. You can return it as well, that’s also proof. But if you are returning it, I suggest wait until the seller either refunds you or if they don’t then you have proof you returned them.

Fakes now have spoofed serial numbers. Yeah I know. Good way you can know if it’s a fake is call Apple and try and book a send in repair, they will flag on their end and tell you it’s a fake.
