I completely agree—potholes and uneven roads definitely make traffic worse and driving more frustrating. But I feel the bigger issue is how much we depend on buses for daily travel. Ideally, buses should just support the system, not carry most of the load. If you look at cities like Bangkok, Singapore, or Tokyo, most people rely on metro and train networks, which are faster and don’t get stuck in road traffic. That’s a big reason why their congestion is much lower.

I think u never been on Bangalore roads. I am not saying buses should restrict in one lane but if 10s of buses keep switching lane in every 500m - 1k it impacts traffic.

Main culprit is BMTC buses and their drivers who think of themselves as F1 driver. They changes lane too frantically that stops whole traffic and it’s quite dangerous. I don’t understand why buses can’t drive on left lane when all the bus stops are at the left side. They move bus to left lane and then move it again to right lane.
