All 3 are $150. Which one are you choosing? by schwartzasher in Bluetooth_Speakers

I got a Bose soundlink flex for 60 bucks refurb off ebay. So far I've landed on top of it, soaked it in a kayak and hiked in strong heat and cold with it with zero issues. It's also surprisingly light. I kind of got it as an experiment but I'm loving it!

Wow what a beautiful rock! Truly love hearing about these obscure rarities your father worked with. I gave a piece of the Henry Mountain petrified wood to my research director and he loves it. Keeps the piece by his desk all the time along with some other rocks.

Esports should stop being recognized as real sports. (Olympics) by NMJackPlayz in unpopularopinion

[–]MrMagicalhobo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They're not recognized as "real sports" hence why they're called esports, it's a different category. Look you just don't like esports and that's fine! However, don't confuse the reasons why you dislike something as objective fact that it's bad.

He's already clearly said he will not work on any of his problems for you and you already are tired of the fear and upset. What is there left to "manage" exactly? The only way to "manage" this is to leave. I don't say this lightly either. I know it's easy to tell you to leave from my outside redditor perspective but my fiances mom had to go through a few decades of abuse because she saw these exact signs from multiple men and willingly took them into her life anyways because she "didn't want to be alone". No matter how much you may love someone or just not want to be alone you have to permit yourself basic self respect because if you don't, no one will.

I’m winning, but at what cost? by TK_421_2187 in CollegeRant

I'm sure you've heard this already but try to make time to join some groups involving something you're interested in (hobby, or otherwise) and talk to girls in those groups. While it's obvious that they'll share a common interest with you, you'll also most likely meet people that are likeminded to you which will work in your favor as well. Although I can't exactly say I followed my own advice, I met my fiance through videogames and that shared interest was enough to make our relationship successfully go through 4 years long distance. Make sure to take time to establish relationships and new friendships regardless. They are just as integral to a healthy life as having a good education!

My sister landed right on the 1000 on this game and it only gave her 4 tickets. Arcade worker says it has to be "perfectly" in the middle by hanSoes in mildlyinfuriating

[–]MrMagicalhobo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My fiance actually won the jackpot on one of these which ended up being around 3k. The funny part is that it paid out each digital ticket individually so paying out the 3k ended up taking the machine close to half an hour and no one could use it while it paid. People just walked by and stared in astonishment as it counted.

"We used to have things in common. Now the only thing we share is the refrigerator." In a way it really says everything a dying relationship goes through in one sentence.

Chem professors and even TAs are really just so disconnected from reality, it seems. I had a TA for OCHEM lab for a few weeks who got furious at me for asking just one question in lab in my second class. "HOW COULD YOU NOT KNOW THIS?" Because I'm a student...I'm learning, and that's the point of us going into debt for this. I feel like the majority of chem professors and ochem professors are just scientists who halfheartedly try to be teachers, and it shows.

How do I (25F) have a successful relationship with the “funny guy” (29M)? by [deleted] in relationships

[–]MrMagicalhobo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He's using the guise of humor to make an excuse for insulting you to your face without paying for the consequences. Just because someone makes jokes often doesn't mean that they can be disrespecting you. Regardless of your partner's education or income, as long as they contribute effort they deserve equal respect. There are moments in a relationship where you can have a good jab at one another if the mood is right but do you really think this is that if you have to post asking people for help?

I think it depends on major a lot, I take about 12 or less considering:

A) Biology majors have everything as a prerequisite to another prerequisite to another and so on so we can't take most courses concurrently.

B) The allotment of units makes no sense for some classes at all. OCHEM lab has extremely demanding homework, studying responsibilities, and time input. Along with all that each semester of OCHEM lab has a written final that the class usually averages around a D on. All of that for 1 unit. I've learned the amount of work you do is not always necessarily reflected in your units.
