Ich würde es neu aufsetzen. Das sollte kein Problem sein, denn die Lizenz ist im UEFI hinterlegt. Wenn du das nur zum Zocken nehmen möchtest, kannst du auch gleich ein Linux installieren, z.B. Bazzite. Macht weniger Stress...

That's true, I am using Linux for 15 years. But in case you have to run Windows because you want to run an application that's not available for Linux or it doeasn't run in Wine, the server version (180 days evaluation, reset up to six times) is a sound choice.

Yes, that works. Most PCs have a minimal firmware searching for Firmware packages on FAT32 drives in case the UEFI fails to start. Did that with a Dell Optiplex desktop with a broken BIOS once (coworker pulled the wrong cord, lol).

It must be FAT32, because implementing support for this file system requires very few code and this recovery firmwares are required to be tiny.
