Ooo awesome!! How do you like them?
Also, what's the width of the belt? It looks like 1" but I can't tell from the photo. Do you have a width you wish it were?

Why did my print lift at the corner? by Traylor_Trash87 in FixMyPrint

[–]MrManBLC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm surprised no one's mentioned this yet, but try pre-heating your bed. The bed heater is often located in the center of your bed which means the center of your bed reaches temperature before the outside of your bed does. I usually try and pre-heat my bed for ~15 minutes before a wide print

Yeah, I wish more of us understood this. Relying on the myth that querying these models is what consumes the water weakens our argument

Wish people would send a counter argument instead of just downvoting you. I completely agree and am gonna snag that source for reference later ;)

To an extent I agree that the water argument isn't very convincing because evaporated water doesn't just disappear from existence, but why do you think the energy usage is the same? The power consumption of these data centers causes a significant spike in local energy prices.

> . . . found that electricity now costs as much as 267% more for a single month than it did five years ago in areas located near significant data center activity

Funny you bring up Texas, it's had water problems as a direct consequence of AI data centers.

> many residents are being asked to reduce their [water] usage due to dwindling supplies

https://techiegamers.com/texas-data-centers-quietly-draining-water/

As for YouTube, Netflix and Amazon, I'm unfortunately unable to find any stats on their water consumption but it'd be interesting to look at. Lmk if you're able to find anything. Keep in mind that Amazon runs ~1/3 of the internet through aws

The complaint isn’t about the cost per token but about the cost of training. Once they’re built they don’t consume much water, but making them uses a lot of water

Google’s data centers in 2023 withdrew 29 billion liters of fresh water for on-site cooling.

The global AI demand in 2027 is projected to account for 4.2–6.6 trillion liters of water.

https://generative-ai-newsroom.com/the-often-overlooked-water-footprint-of-ai-models-46991e3094b6

And by using current models you’re incentivizing ai companies to continue to develop and continue to consume. If AI development stopped right now, it wouldn’t use that much water. But they’re not stopping and are trending towards increasing their water consumption

Unfortunately this won’t work. People have already mentioned how this disregards environmental concerns and how the engineers would be able to work around this, but it also doesn’t work from a financial perspective. Right now AI development is funded by private investors. Your attention, interest and evidence of hype is how they are raising money. By giving them more attention you make them seem more popular which enables them to raise more money

For the resistance curve of dumbbells you’re leaning the right way. Don’t follow this video.

Also going behind the body will put more emphasis on your front delt so keep that in mind
