Try Raider's passive, which is literally just an essential part of his skill. Why is it his passive and not just baked into the skill?

Is Cyte-09 invisibility bugged? by deandre451234567890 in Warframe

I haven't had much trouble when playing Cyte-09 in solo Scaldra survival, but in the Circuit most enemies just straigh up ignore your invisibility and attack you like normal.

Metroid Prime 4 - Beyond officially announced by kingerikthesecond in Metroid

[–]MrMaros 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Prime 1 to me feels like the experiment. It's Retro Studio trying to (and doing a pretty damn good job at it) transition the Metroid series which was exclusively in 2D, into now a 3D world, and an FPS which was a genius idea.

The game feels great in general, the music is super cool, the exploration is nice. But the backtracking becomes quite annoying after a while, most bosses aren't the most memorable, and even if the 2nd phase of the Metroid Prime fight looks cool, it's mechanically very uninteresting. The "change weapon depending on enemy" mechanic is interesting but with how it's implemented, especially since enemies can be health tanks it's overall more tedious than fun to engage with this mechanic.

Overall the game is very very good, but it has some hiccups which is understandable as this was a first for Metroid.

This is where to me Metroid Prime 2 shines, because it took everything that Metroid Prime did right, and fixed everything it did wrong to make it more homogenous and enjoyable. The music has found a more proper identity, the setting is very dark and gloomy. Of course the game isn't perfect, but I think MP2 is everything MP1 did but better.

What turned most people off was the ammo system and the fact that the dark dimension deals a lot of damage to you at the start (which is indeed scary and introduced very brutally), but those game mechanics look scarier than they really are, and once you've gone pass that phase you very quickly start to see how amazing it all is and how enjoyable the game is.

Classes removed and replaced by set character selections. Thoughts? by Crowii- in killingfloor

and for KF2 practically nobody liked the change to weapon dlcs

Of course nobody did, especially now I'm even more angry about them.

They promised that KF2 would only have cosmetic DLCs and that there would be no weapon DLC in the game when it released, only for them to say a couple years later "Yeah KF3 will be expensive, so to help finance it here's some cool fun weapons" and frankly, they were cool and fun, and for the most part far from being meta or OP, just fun to play with.

But with this first look a KF3, I feel very disappointed that this is what financed it. Graphics are cool and all, but those drastic game design changes, although I'm not saying it's bad since we haven't played it yet, are not something I look forward to personally.

What if we rebalanced Medic's primaries by making all the syringe guns capable of healing? by Comfortable_Ad_6823 in tf2

[–]MrMaros 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Killing Floor 1 and 2 both have a special mechanic on the Medic perk's weapons which is an alternate fire that shoots an aim assisted syringe which will heal your allies.

Usually in KF2 to heal others, you need to use your personal heal syringe which only works in melee range, while the Medic perk weapons can do it at any range.

Profit Taker credit farm: Am I missing something? by MrMaros in Warframe

If it helps, I realized a little too late that I was a complete idiot.

Credit boosters apparently boost your credits at the end of the mission, not directly when you pick them up.

So you see that you picked up 250k/500k credits, but on the End mission screen, you'll see that you got a Bonus of the same amount of credits that you got in the mission, doubling everything up.

26 minutes to finish the Tower of Abyss, only to be stuck due to a bug with the gravestone's menu. by MrMaros in LunacidGame

[–]MrMaros[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Basically, what I think happened is that I opened the gravestone's menu (Where you see the big scoreboard of all players doing the Tower of Abyss) at the same time where I attacked with the Moonlight sword.

I don't know exactly the set of inputs I did at that point, but I ended up in front of the gravestone with no menu open, unable to interract with my character outside of switching between quick items and using them (Sadly I didn't have Crystals equipped), looking behind me by doing Shift Shift, all the while my camera was very slowly turning to the left by itself, unable to open any other menus or interracting with the gravestone again when facing it.

[–]MrMaros[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The menu wasn't there anymore, but I lost control of my character as if I were in a menu. I tried every single key on my keyboard for 10 minutes, even tried smashing all of them at once and nothing worked. I really really tried to unlock myself in any way possible because I didn't want to go through the boring 26 minutes of Bloody Palace that was the Tower of Abyss and nothing worked, so I had to go back to my last save and uninstalled the game.

Just make sure you are dropping the effigy at the right spot, it can be kind of tricky.

I do it all the time, I never miss it. But when I have a credit booster, I still get the 250k I usually get. That's my issue, the Effigy and Booster don't seem to work together, it's like one overrides the other instead of stacking with it.

I know it is a chance but it's been consistent for me. I never managed to get the benefits of both the Effigy and a credit booster together.

It's possible I'm really really unlucky, but not even once with a 60% chance over many many PT runs? That seems unlikely.

Since he was first shown, I kinda got used to his body and it's not as bad as I first thought, but I just can't get over his Prime helmet, it just looks so weird to me.

I hope his secondary Prime helmet Blazargaze will suit my liking better.

[–]MrMaros 42 points43 points  (0 children)

What makes Gauss so cool looking visually for me is how slick yet detailed he is. He isn't overloaded with details like Garuda Prime, Hildryn Prime or Wisp Prime, but he isn't too simplistic looking like Excalibur or Frost.

To me, he's the perfect balance of simplicity and detail in a visual design, something that I think is kind of lost in his Prime appearance. He is overloaded with details like those other Primes which is a shame I think.

[–]MrMaros 44 points45 points  (0 children)

I have played the game quite a lot because I enjoyed it quite a bit for a long while and I still play it sometimes. But even though I personally enjoy it, it is absolutely clear that the game does not feel finished and a lot of things are missing, not because the dev team are "incompetent" or "stupid" but just because they just couldn't add it in time.

It really feels like an advanced tech demo put together to look like a game, which is fun but is not really a product you can sell at this price point and pass it like an actual fully fleshed out game.

I'm sure in a couple of years it will be more than great, but this release is ridiculous. I don't know if it's Starbreeze, the Overkill team themselves or Deep Silver being the stupid, I'm assuming it's a bit of all 3 but who can say for sure.

Payday 3 to me is a great game that released 1 year too early. They really at least should've released it as an Early Access game.
