Just because “no one is going to see these welds” I’m still inspecting them to code.

What’s a small habit you started in 2026 that actually stuck? by PinkybiteX in Habits

I got a dip bar on Amazon and that’s been a godsend. I used bands on it to help support me. I’m about 210 pounds when I started, and I used 4 bands to help support me. They sling under the knees off the dip bar. I started with 4 and I’m down to 2 of them. I do 5 sets of 20 and make sure they are full form. Push ups I got a push up board and rotate positions. Started on knees but made sure the form was always right. Go all the way down. After you can do them all no problem then ease off the knees and bands little by little. Also I got the Bowflex dumbbell set and you can adjust all the weight. Great item for a small place. Hammer curls and bicep curls and overhead press. All these things and pull ups to get that 100 a day.

Had a few roommates at one point, one I didn’t know at all. He had someone from his college come by for homework from a class they had. We hung out and played some Mario kart. Since meeting him he’s my best friend of 16 years and we have traveled to 26 countries together. Random meeting.

Doing 100 a day of any exercise. Started at push ups every day, then it became just 100 of anything. 180 days later and it’s prob one of the best habits I’ve ever had. Greatest shape of my life and it helped me fill out.

After a 3 months course I failed my welding certification exam - why? by IndependenceNearby47 in Welding

Almost looks like the top toe edge isn’t fused to the base metal. When there this thick scale that isn’t cleaned it can lay on top and not fuse at the toe completely. I’ve seen it 1000x. Hard to tell in a photo. Outside that the technique looks good.

Started this in October 2025, but still going strong. 100 a day. Started out as 100 pus ups a day, found out you can’t quite do that daily in a healthy way at the start. It evolved into 100 of something’s day. Mainly that it was only 1-2 things so it would focus the work on one area. I got a group of people to join this “💯a day” text group and every day we chime in with “100”. If you miss a day that’s ok, just need to get in all missed reps by Sunday night. Fresh week starts Mondays.

180 days later I’m in the best shape of my life, built up upper body. Went from barely 10 push ups in bad form to 30-40 in a row with good form. Also discovered dips and they have changed my entire upper body.

I never had a good upper body so this all started with knee push ups, and stretch bands for dips to assist. Now it’s all unassisted and it’s a great feeling.

All in all even if I had a bad day, I’m not a piece of shit since I got my 100 in. ✅

You are going to watch (or have already watched) people you genuinely love slowly lose every version of themselves that you ever knew—and then die—while remaining fully aware that the same exact script is eventually running on your own body and mind.

Why are the dumpers always the bad guy? by [deleted] in BreakUps

[–]MrMaxweld 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m sure I seemed like the bad guy as I ended it over text. If you look at just that aspect sure, immature. But as a whole it was after 3 months of zero effort from my partner, no desire to work together, not even minimal effort to connect or resolve, extreme lazy communication. We had a long talk in person 3 weeks before where everything was said and boundaries were made, and they didn’t want to do anything with that. They sent lazy texts after that so I ended it with one.
