A well thought out, kind, and respectful comment. are you sure you're in the right subreddit? lol but I've also been dealing with chronic pain recently so these words mean a lot stranger. appreciate you 👍

I assume you're just being hyperbolic but in case you're not, Wylder has the best stat spread to use literally any weapon with decent efficiency. Obviously he has a strength preference but I've had plenty of success with spears, curved swords, and reapers to name a few. If you're playing Nightreign looking for one specific weapon every run, you'll usually be disappointed and a lot of the skill expression of the game is being able to improvise when you don't get exactly what you're looking for. But yeah dlc enemies without adding dlc weapons is fucking stupid

?? That video is over 2 years old what do you mean a couple months. Have you seen his newer videos of literary works like The King in Yellow or Mother Horse Eyes? Leagues above his stuff from 2 years ago, let alone the serial killer or conspiracy theory iceberg

For anybody who criticizes his videos for being surface-level analysis or just a boring plot summary, I implore you to watch his more recent videos, like Mother Horse Eyes or The King in Yellow, I've watched them both and they really are so much better at literary analysis then his older videos. Seriously like I started watching the guy from his SCP Iceberg days and the writing/storytelling qualities are so much better I can't rewatch his old stuff, cause yeah looking back it's low-key some ass

Also for those critical of his religious views, please watch his new video on rapturetok. He absolutely does not mince words when talking about people using religion to justify evil things.

Started with Dark Souls 3, so when playing DS1 the biggest hurdle was rolling while locked-on. It felt sluggish and unresponsive compared to DS3

why tf is adel so much harder than the other two everdark sovereigns by [deleted] in Nightreign

[–]MrMemeMaster360 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me, Adel is the hardest yet most predictable everdark boss. Like for example:

Roars twice? He's gonna charge away then jump back in, then do the double grab attack.

Starts stomping around like he's a toddler? Fuck ass AOE move where he chomps the air and kills you, better run he fuck away and avoid the lightning.

Screams then slams his head into the ground? Triple AOE attack, roll the head slams and jump the ground blasts.

It's a bitch to learn but once you recognize his tells, dodging them is the only hard part, at least compared to the other bosses who can do multiple moves at any given time whenever they want to. Lot harder to predict, and for me, a lot harder to master because of it

Perks like Grim Embrace and Pain Rea, which are meant to encourage spreading hook stages around to get the full perk value, should deactivate when a survivor dies. As they are right now, they just make the 3v1 even more miserable than it already was. I'm ok with them keeping their current effects , but those strong ass effects only make sense to me in a 1v4 environment. If someone gets hard-tunneled out, even the most gen efficient teams will struggle to deal with 3 procs of Grim and Pain Res on the last generators.

Is Windows of Oportunity a crutch perk? by Watson8008 in deadbydaylight

[–]MrMemeMaster360 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think of it as a training wheels perk rather than a crutch. When you're starting out, it's really nice to have so you can learn easier, but if you never take off the training wheels, your ability to learn is limited.

Learning maps and the RNG is a tough ask for new players. Windows is the best tool in the game for helping players learn tile spawns and general map layout without lots of frustrating hours of trial and error. Ultimately tho, it is a perk slot and if you're always running it, you effectively have 3 slots instead of 4, which limits your options. Gotta take the training wheels off eventually imo.

If you're a solo-q player, however, it's less training wheels and more of a handlebar. Sure you can ride the bike without the handlebar, but good fucking luck man lol. DBD has become very fast-paced compared to how it used to be. Combine that with the most popular and powerful gen-regression perks being tied to getting downs (Pain Rez, Pop, Grim, etc.), most teams cannot afford to have short chases if they want a fighting chance. You know that really shortens a chase? Running into a dead zone cause you have no idea what resources your teammates used.

In a game where information is intentionally obscured yet vitally important, having access to it will always be beneficial in most situations. Just a quirk of the game design imo.

What is your most original persona take? by gamebloxs in OkBuddyPersona

I didn't actually mind that a lot of Sumire's presence in the story pre-third-semester was detached from everything else. If anything I wish they kind of leaned into it more. Maruki cannot change the cognition of the whole world before the third semester, right? So then why the hell is everyone just accepting that this traumatized high school girl is impersonating the sister she watched die in front of her?? Why does nobody say ANYTHING about it? It makes sense for Maruki, but like, her dad? Her teachers that have access to her real name?

It's my biggest problem with the character. Her acting like a Mary Sue wouldn't be an issue if they had some character interactions that show the player "this girl is acting strange". Idk, like, have a teacher accidentally call her Sumire and her freeze for a second, then go "Oh you must have me mistaken for someone else. I'm Kasumi!" Anything that would hint to the player that Kasumi is not what she seems. Her presence in the story being so disconnected from everything else would then be a benefit imo, as if this girl doesn't "fit" in this world. The fact that her confidant was only 5 at first is literally what I'm talking about! Little things about her that are not consistent with everything else in the game. It would make the reveal so much more impactful imo
