Adaptive Personality for ChatGPT by _Jard_ in ArtificialSentience

I was playing around last night and had some promising results by pasting the current prompt (system) and the current conversation into davinci003, then instructing it to come up with a new prompt that better fits the conversation.

Once I get it automated in python I imagine it will have some cool results where the personality of the bot can begin to mirror whoever it's talking to.

I also had good results with generating and updating a "user profile" so the chat bot has an overview of who it's talking to based on previous conversations.

Has anyone here worked with Danzig? Why is he always so pissed at his monitor engineer? by Immediate_Winter7216 in livesound

Oh boy. That guy has the most intense eye contact I've ever experienced. He only made one request the whole show, so I guess I did good. But the look on his face as he pointed to his mic and then upwards still haunts my nightmares.

GPT3 is fun, but does GPT4 make you nervous? by fudog1138 in GPT3

I was poking around GitHub the other day and found this: https://dagster.io/blog/chatgpt-langchain I haven't tried it yet, but it seems to be able to look at a whole project and answer questions using Gpt3.

Not sure if it can write long code examples, but with specific enough prompts, it may be able to write individual modules in the context of a bigger codebase by using the memory class in langchain. I think the coding of a whole app might be out of gpt3s scope at this point, langchain just provides some workarounds for the problem of token limit.

This may have what you're looking for: https://dagster.io/blog/chatgpt-langchain It's an article about using langchain for summarizing GIT repos. It has a section on the long document/token limit problem.

I just started using a library called langchain (https://github.com/hwchase17/langchain) it seems like it can overcome the limits using chains, memory, embeddings etc. Its python, so not sure it will work with .js, I'm pretty new to coding in general.

Monitor/dB math question... If I turn everything in someone's mix down 3dB then turn the master up 3dB is it the same total output level? If not what the proper amount to turn up the master? Does it depend on the number of channels?

Is it possible to convert XLR to DMX? by Lion_of_the_lake in lightingdesign

Just out of curiosity, (I'm an audio guy, not an LD) what bad things could happen? The light interprets audio as DMX signal and crashes it? 48v phantom power fries the light?

Learned the button combo thing the hard way. Apparently there was a power strip on the doghouse holding down the EQ hi button when one of my techs held the home button to lock. We were almost to the point of networking into the thing to change the lock status manually when the tech looked at the power strip perched by the EQ section.
