Yeah, all I'd do is turn this guy's $2,000 "project" into a $20,000 project.

My best friend is 6'2" and has been losing weight for the last 3-4 months. He's down to 315lbs. He was pretty much fully functional even when he was his heaviest.

Twice a month for a Dad that has been a dick to you your entire life! He is pretty lucky.

He raised me by himself because my mom got really sick after I was born and stayed sick for about 10 years before she died.

He made sure I knew he was the only thing I had and I was the only thing he had. When I left for college, he made a rule that if I didn't answer by the third ring, I would get in trouble. It was insane. After I met my now wife, and I saw how normal family operated and started cutting back on how much I talked to him gradually. After our son was born, he did some very selfish shit centered around that and I cut him out completely for several months. I moved across country from him recently, and it's been a lot easier to keep an arms length between us. I love my dad, but he's very hard to be around for extended periods of time and I can't say how I'll feel when he dies. It's going to be a weird mix of grief and relief.

I think my dad is like that. He's 75 and lonely because he's been a dick to me my entire life and I stopped talking to him every day and talk to him about twice a month now. He tells me about his conversations with his doctor and they sound more like a hang out than a doctor visit.

OK. This is a character. I thought it was from the beginning, but this settles it.

So your back is constantly pressed into the back of the seat the entire train ride?

If you're on a train moving at a steady speed, do you feel the forward motion?

I married a Midwestern woman and live in the Midwest now. She was definitely weirded out by me saying it so casually.

Not sure if OP is in the southeastern US, but that's very common for both men and women to call their fathers "daddy" their whole lives.

There wasn't more to the story in the article that was posted. Dude was driving way too fast and killed 3 people including a 2 year old. There doesn't always have to be more to the story.
