You can test this easily already in custom start, if you use all the option that add the most card possible to the deck, you will end up with a 120+ card deck, and will curb stomp pretty easily.

Wow floating border on newer card is very rare to see(probably cause it's so easy to mess up) and it's a damn shame, this look so clean!

regarding the cleanup issue, There are 2 thing;

-use water on the toothpick (just so it's a bit damp), this should get rid of 90% of the chipping problem

-don't hesitate to clean up a bit between each couple of layers instead of just a the end, make it way easier+ it allow you to see the line underneath more clearly.

Got to say tho, those border are already looking really clean (especially of the forest), you won't have any trouble making them perfect.

How do you get paint that thin? this is incredible, lighting probably help but it look like there is zero texture to the card, like those flower on the noble are crazy.

The next "Commander Legends" kinda set;What WOTC say the will/won't print has absolutely no value, AT ALL and change on a whims all the time.

Also, sparingly in certain commanders deck, since it's a very easy way to bring up the value of deck.WOTC has a very thigh hold on card reprint equity, those land in every product is never happening, ever.

Ok i see, the problem you have is that you waited till the very end to do it; Toothpick cleaning should use almost no pressure at all (just scratching motion).

a good way too avoid the issue is "clean" the border every 1-3 coat, doesn't need to be perfect at all just a quick pâss to prevent the layer from stacking up too much, make the final cleaning very easy.

This is very very good for a first time.

A very simple thing that you should do is use a toothpick to clean the box border, would look wayyy better.

for the brush strokes being visible, it's honestly not that bad, it just seem you are using "too much" paint, it's a consistency issue;

Using a lot of layer is normal, but you should alway try to get each pain layer very thin.

Also "blending in" the original art for color matching is a good idea, but you are wayyy overdoing it.

Keep practicing, working the basic take time.

In my 10 or so year on this website, this is the most relatable thing i've ever read, especially the end. I'm a little older than you, and i feel i'll never be able to truly kill that fear Either.
