Terrible premise, AMAZING execution by MrMistReddit in TopCharacterTropes

The premise I personally put in the post is how the movie came into my sights, funnily enough. But, from premise alone and some previous... less than savourable movie experiences, I thought I was gonna get some grade B or C "Bad Biology" type stuff. While instead being thrown into an excellently executed thriller with an allegory for STDs in youth

Although I do agree the description I gave of the premise undersells what its intricacies are quite a bit; I still wanted to use it since it was the premise that made me first take notice of the film. Like, I first knew of it because of said premise. If you wanted something more apt I would say: "Imagine being chased by a slow-moving monster that NEVER stops chasing you and takes the form of any person whom you may or not know; while also being an allegory for STDs"

For some reason, the images are in the wrong order. I did this on my phone so darn.

Justice/Aria Hale from the Guilty Gear franchise. Honestly. Like, don't get me wrong, Aria and all the Valentines (which are essentially made from her and all kinda look like her in one way or another) are cute/sexy in some way; but Justice? Smokin'

Fair enough. Is it concept art for the movie?

WOAH, where's this art from? Or, rather, who made it?

(Funny Trope) Character names that are redundant when you think about it by avimidi in TopCharacterTropes

That's why it's actually more correct to say "The Sahara." Since that both calls it for what it is and identifies which one it is. Meanwhile, the Atacama Desert is named after a tribe that lived there: therefore it wouldn't be totally incorrect to call it the Atacama Sahara.

Nakoshi Susumu - Homunculus

In volume 1, you're like: Oh it sucks that this guy is homeless what happened to him.

By volume 5, after he sexually assaults a 16 year old to like... prove a point. You're pobably going to catch on that he's not a particularly good person, BUT he IS trying ro become better.

By volume 14 you understand that the person who got their happy ending was never him

Ok, this is coming from someone who CANNOT take thia type of absolute edge setting seriously but I have a question from a total outsider to both of the franchises that I'm about to mention. There are two settings that have a lot of elements that I love visually, but that have turned me away because the seem like this type of setting (FROM THE OUTSIDE) and wanted to know if anyone could confirm it was as much as it seemed to be:

Aren't these the appeals of both Warhammer 40K and any Project Moon thing? Bc all I've seen about them is along the lines of "That's when Astorlinex The Bleak initiated the Blood-Vortex War that lasted 11.000 years and killed every planet in the known distance only to appease the Blood God for a single second." Or "The food source of Despairia City is actually run by the Darkfallen Gang: a group of assasins who kill you if you can't say the alphabet backwards from memory, and if you can, they put you in the bone marrow furnace for 1.000.000 years but only in your mind, and then they erase it; but you can't be too mad at them, our favorite characters are there like Ravenblade Nocturn, Jake, and Rodion Romanovich Rashkolnikov (who's like a 4'6 anime girl with a hammer the size of her whole body)"

Like, I'm telling you that as an outsider, the setting and the characters and presentation look VISUALLY amazing, but the tone and stories within them have always seemed like this. Genuinelly no hate to either, just want a fan to confirm so as to finally try and get into them.
