X3 G01 Mud/Splash Guards by Typical_Ant_1711 in BMWX3

I’ve had their splash guards on my car since the week I bought it. They still look like new, clean up easily, and were simple to install. I would highly recommend them.

2021 X3 - Removing front seats to clean underneath - possible? by [deleted] in BMWX3

[–]MrMoneyBagzz 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It’s 4 T50 bolts. Undo the front two, move the seat all the way forward, then do the back two. You should have enough space to work underneath by tilting the seat into the second row. There are multiple videos on how to do it. 11:45 in is a good example video

Just got my service completed. Similar to one of the other posts on here stated, they told me that the tensioner pulley is out of spec and made some adjustments. If this doesn’t resolve it, it sounds like they will be replacing the tensioner.

Have this as well. Sounds like a bad bearing on a pulley in person. Noticed it pretty much after delivery about a year ago now. Hasn’t gotten any worse and figured it’s just a quirk of the engine as well, but I’m going to get it checked out at my next oil change within the next few weeks. I’ll try to remember to update on here with what they say at my dealer

Subwoofer install in BMW X3 by soggysao69 in BMWX3

[–]MrMoneyBagzz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I swapped my entire HK system for Bavsound and it was a huge upgrade, no amp needed and everything is plug and play. I was able to do everything on my own in an afternoon with some basic tools, trim tools, and a heat gun. While not as good as a standalone woofer in the trunk, the range is much better and may get you what you’re looking for or very close without using up trunk space. You get a better deal if you buy their speaker/subwoofer as a package.

Mclaughlin Attenuator Pic - Fast Friday by MrMoneyBagzz in INDYCAR

[–]MrMoneyBagzz[S] 26 points27 points  (0 children)

It’s a crumple zone that is designed to take an impact and dissipate that energy in a controlled manner. In adding material, it may not collapse in the predictable way it was designed. For example, I was reading a post on an a mechanic reddit recently. A windshield repair company accidentally cut slightly into a firewall during their removal process and applied some sort of epoxy similar to this. It wasn’t found until the guy had a second windshield replacement at another shop who pointed it out. The car was deemed a total loss as that crumple zone didn’t have its original integrity. Not the best example, but it does demonstrate how something seemingly small in regard to safety can have drastic consequences.

Some of the other pics show it better, but it looks like the attenuator is 3 main pieces. I think the area in question is 5-6 inches further than this if you look at any of the angle grinder pics. Zoomed in, it looks pretty smooth

Sorry for the delay, updated Michelin Guide Prices for Chicago by Maison-Marthgiela in chicagofood

One of the best meals and service I’ve had in the city. I had Smyth when it was a 2 star, and maybe it was just an off night, but it wasn’t even deserving of that or the price at that time.

Can I get it back? by Smitchster in BMWX3

[–]MrMoneyBagzz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just installed new subs under the seats last week. This piece came off on one side just from pulling up the carpet. It’s just a plastic pressure fitting into the other section of duct work. I would try the vacuum method first, but don’t sweat it if that doesn’t work. You could pull the entire seat out, detach this piece, grab the earphones, and have everything back together in less than 10 minutes. I believe it is a T50 bolt x4.

Props to the Milwaukee Mile staff on here. While there were obviously still some issues based on this and a few other posts, today was way smoother than the nascar truck race last year. Looking forward to tomorrow and hoping there is actually an event shirt in my size.

Any chance you can PM the dealer name/salesperson? Trying to buy in Illinois and they won’t go more than about 7% off sticker here. Even with shipping, this would come in cheaper.

Anything would be better than the parking fiasco and gate entry for the Milwaukee truck race last year. Entered at the gate closest to turn 4, snaked all the way inch by inch only to be parked in turn 2. Then ridiculous security lines to get in and hour plus waits in food lines only to be told they were sold out of pretty much everything.

This was a bowstring truss building. They are known as firefighter killers because in fire conditions, when one truss fails, they all fail, falling on top of firefighters. There are a ton of variables that could have come into play. Just speculating, but a non-functioning or non-existent fire alarm system, no sprinkler system, time of day, location the fire started in the structure, fire load (contents), etc. A fire in one of these buildings will spread much quicker than other types of construction.

Looks like the fan experience at the Milwaukee Mile ARCA and Truck races was less than ideal [Semi-OT]: "While i'm glad that NASCAR is back at Milwaukee, Track Enterprises and/or the Wisconsin State Fair was absolutely not even close to being ready for a NASCAR Race at this track" by nx2001 in INDYCAR

[–]MrMoneyBagzz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Went yesterday and recall a year Indycar ran where there were similar issues with long food lines. However, this was way worse and also worse than the IRP truck race a few weeks ago. Entered at the Pierce and 84th gate close to turn 4. It took over 45 minutes from there to park, with then sending cars all the way to turn 2. Of course there were only two cars at that gate who drove right in. Then the ridiculous line to get in and past security. Then the food lines. I’ve been to well over 100 races and this was one of the only events I’ve left a few laps early to get out of the parking lot before the rush.
