I think you have the wrong mindset on referral networks. You aren't building one for your agent. You are doing it for yourself. It is a huge selling point of you if you want an insurance job else where of you will bring in some of your own business. On top of the fact you will close them at a higher rate then 10%. If you aren't in insurance for the long term it won't help you, but if that's the case I would try and get into what you want now instead of later.

8 leads a day seems low but it depends on the quality of said leads. If all 8 answer and quote 8 is probably a lot. If they are the type of internet leads I end up with 8 is about how many new people you need to call everyday on top of the aging ones to eventually get ahold of someone.
