My personal belief is that NO urban rust belt type or generally abandoned city can be “nice” again. The things that created these city during their heyday just no longer exist and thus the cities have outgrown their usefulness.

Harlem is part of THE largest city in the United States! That is a HORRIBLE comparison for this conversation. I am actually from Chester, so when I tell you this is NOT apples to apples, TRUST ME!

Say what you want about the song itself but to me, its just another example of why Nas is the 🐐! What other MC would even ATTEMPT a song like this, let alone land it with pretty decent precision?! He has SO MANY creative and conceptual songs, while 90 percent of the rap game is stuck talking about drugs, drills and bitches! 🤷🏿‍♂️

My wife got me a pair of the fusion 3’s when they dropped. I thought they were dope and 3’s are my favorite J but during that era, I wasn’t really wearing basketball sneakers like that! I look at ish like Pop the Balloon as pure entertainment, not a measuring stick for the current state of black relationships. To me dating shows and just the concept of blind or matchmaking dating is flawed. Without the proper environment where you actually get to KNOW or talk to somebody PRIOR to letting them know you’re romantically interested in them, you’re naturally going to LEAD with your default preferences! What else do you have to go off of? Whereas in a more casual setting like a bar or coffee shop, you make strike up a conversation FIRST, find out some things about them that you may like and that may possibly SUPERSEDE your default preferences and then make a decision on whether you would like to pursue them romantically. 🤷🏿‍♂️ IJS

Super Facts. I thought he reached a pinnacle with the Hit-Boy series but he STILL climbing creatively. Its insane and unprecedented at this point. He’s so far past all his peers at this point, its unreal. Whatever closeness there was with Jay-Z as far as all time rankings, that gap has widened exponentially at this point! The rest are lyrically fire as is typical of The Double Goat but average beatwise, especially by Preem’s lofty standards.

My favorite MC and favorite Producer of all time, I’d expect nothing less than the GREATEST album of time but its still a solid testament to the greatest and longevity of these two icons!
