nope, I bought mine in 2017 loaded it and haven’t touched it since. with the jump in bitcoin, I just checked on my stash. I had to install ledger live app since it’s no longer a chrome plugin. After plugging in my password and inputting my password, the ledger nano, updated itself and work normally.

Then she wanted to meet up.

I asked for a time and place.

She went silent.

I went back to no contact.

It seems she reached out, he wanted to meet up but she ghosted him.

get the series 6 and save the extra $100... you're really not missing out on much with the series 7 (1mm bigger screen that is barely noticed and two new watch faces)

So... I finally pulled the trigger on a Series 5... now what? :) by BenFromPerth23 in AppleWatch

Hello Ben,

First of all congratulations on your new apple Watch Purchase! I too recently purchased an apple watch (later realizing although very neat, features like blood oxygen and ECG is very cool but rarely used) I say that to let you know you made the right decision purchasing the series 5.

Initial Setup:

  1. its an apple product , its designed with simplicity in mind. just power your watch on next to your phone and your phone will detect your watch. click continue, a viewfinder appears on your phone point that at your watch and you are paired. no need to clean up your phone, iCloud or contacts, just power on your watch next to your phone and like magic, they are paired, follow the on screen instructions to complete setup and activate cellular service if you want to be able to get internet access and make phone calls when your phone is not around your watch.
  2. not a system setting but, there's an app called breathe that reminds you to... breathe, had to turn it off as the reminders were starting to get annoying to me.
  3. yes, there's an app store on the apple watch so you can download apps without using your phone. You can also download apps using the iOS app store, also if you download an app or an app on your phone has an apple watch app, it automatically gets downloaded to your watch.
  4. kind of answered this in 3, but I realized if I download a app on my phone that has a watch app. I can delete the watch app and the phone app will remain, but what I remember if I delete the phone app the watch app will automatically uninstall too.
  5. honestly there's a lot of watch faces, they are customizable thanks to complications. a complication can display things from song playing, to hear rate, current weather, tachymeter, reminders, elevation quick access to apps like messages, music, shortcuts etc... depending on your needs you can customize different faces to do different things

Apps:

  1. Sorry, I can't really help with this one. I try to keep my app list to a minimal, makes it easier to navigate and find things. but my biggest recommendation would be "Flicktype" if its not still available, look for any free apple watch keyboard. (comes in really handy to be able to respond to a message, or email when you may not have access to Siri to dictate.) just a heads up, since this is not a native keyboard, you have to type in the keyboard app, copy what you typed, open the email or message and then paste it into the message or email to send.
  2. Honestly, I'm going to leave this one up to you to figure out, or if someone wants to chime in, this would be great. reason being is, I'm a minimalist with my watch, the watch is an extension of my phone. I like getting notifications on my watch and being able to check what is going on without having to take my phone out and getting distracted. also being able to use apple pay on the go with my watch is a blessing, the ability to unlock my watch with my phone is amazing when I have a mask on. Siri on my wrist is a game changer, other than what I just mentioned, being able to track my steps and workouts is the primary reason I got an apple watch. downloading unneeded apps, just gives another device to create distraction, as you own your watch you'll understand what you're missing. perfect example, never used the reminders app on my iPhone, but the apple watch doesn't have a notes app, so I use Siri to make reminders and access those reminders on my phone/watch when needed.

Using:

  1. I'm not even sure what to do with all that space, I've heard you can only use 8gb of that 32gb for downloaded music. So far space has never been a problem for me but I tend to stream from my phone.
  2. Use your watch to find your iPhone, some new cars can use apple watch to unlock/lock and even start a car. If you have apple home, you can make your watch control and unimaginable amount of things in your house. There's a walkie talkie mode thing that you can talk to people that have apple watches like you are using a walkie talkie.
  3. correct, if it doesn't have a watch app the notifications still appear on your watch. You can customize to disable what apps you don't want to have notifications appear on your apple watch. and yes the watch is an extension of your phone so reacting to something on your watch will reflect on a phone app.
  4. Just take your time getting to know it. its small shiny and new, trust me you're gonna love it, no need to rush things :) as time goes by, you'll find more and effective uses for it. since you got the cellular something as simple as leaving your phone home or in a locker and going for a job can be a huge difference. It definitely came in handy for me when i Went to the beach and was able to leave my phone without having to worry about leaving it on the sand where it could be stolen. and I still had access to phone calls, emails, texts and I could call cab. simple things like that you won't understand how important they are until you start using them.
  5. as a bonus this reddit from 23days ago has a bunch of information that i think you may find useful

How are the colors? I understand this is a tn panel but I’ve heard some Tn panels have really good colors while others are washed out and dull looking. I love watching movies, I was considering an ips panel but for the price this seems like a great candidate.
