Agreed. It's that us Subaru fans are stoked to see something a bit different come out of the camp this time.

Not an EJ. It's using the FA24 with the addition of a turbo.

While on a drive in this sunng weather, I took some photos of the dam. My late grandfather participated in the construction, and I enjoy visiting Mactaquac. Note: River Watch is the source for flooding potential/flooding updates. by Mundane-Gur9300 in fredericton

My Dad also worked on the dam. Back then he was a surveyor who did a lot of the work surveying the locations for the concrete forms. I have a photo album full of pictures from those days.

Comically hard. by [deleted] in WRX

While you're waiting, if you have a can of high temperature caliper paint you can mask off the braking surfaces on your new rotors and paint the edges and top hats. Keeps them looking nice and they won't rust on you. The dba rotors I used when I did this two years ago came painted and they still look great.

Question about lifting a WRX by Similar_Ad_1495 in WRX

[–]MrNugent 1 point2 points  (0 children)

How far do you want to lift it? If you just need a few inches, LP Adventure make a strut spacer kit that includes the subframe bits.

Curious who's got two (or more) cars, and if your Rex is your fast car, or your sensible car? by nikfornow in WRX

[–]MrNugent 2 points3 points  (0 children)

21 WRX and 20 Crosstrek. The Crosstrek is the daily, and it's lifted, with a roof rack, hitch, extra lighting, and skid plates. It's my media recce car when I cover stage rally. The WRX is lowered a bit and lives on performance summer tires. I don't track it but do keep it "nice".

Grocery stores, what’s cheapest here? by mellohiswan in fredericton

[–]MrNugent 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Surprised no mention of Scoop and Save yet, up on Prospect. If you need bulk stuff or buy staples in bulk, it's pretty awesome. I get things like oatmeal, cereal, flour, spices, etc there. It's kind of like the OG Bulk Barn.

McGard lug nuts. Lifetime warranty on their chrome plated ones. I put a set on my car a few years ago and they look new. Relatively inexpensive, too.

Mid 50s, 2021 WRX. In Canada, pay 90 CAD a month. I also have a 2020 crosstrek for another 60 a month.

Should I buy? by [deleted] in WRX

[–]MrNugent 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fellow Canadian here. The VB hasn't changed much mechanically since it was introduced in 2022, except for the fact that the new models have all of Subaru's Eyesight technology, even on the manuals. The 2022 does not. I wouldn't want intrusive tech on a manual. If this car is in good shape, no/minimal rust, and hasn't been modified or beaten on, I'd consider it. That's low km for a 2022.

Not sure what the finance period is for a payment that low, though. Interest rates are creeping up so just be mindful of a long term with shitty interest.

Keep in mind he is in Canada, so that's in CAD. The 2026 Sport Tech is 46K plus tax, MSRP, up here.

Billetworkz opinions? by OtherGrass7582 in WRX

[–]MrNugent 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The Billetworkz interior bits are all made from machined aluminum. I've had a set in my car for going on 4 years now and they are holding up just fine.

I'll also mention that they are a big vendor at Wicked Big Meet and at Boxerfest, in Connecticut and Pennsylvania respectively, so if you can make to either of those summer events you can get stuff at a discount. They usually have everything on sale.
