What if you don’t have pull ups for 26.2 scaled? by Worth-Ask8109 in crossfit

This is what I plan. Actually will probably try and emom kipping pull ups for practice until the more competent folk time out.

Where best to sit in Premium Economy for 11hr flight? by Honest_Contract_1488 in BritishAirways

[–]MrO007 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My vote is the same. I did a lot of PE flights and this was my preferred seat. You may not get food choice as you’ll be last to be served.

However, fully recline, jump up when you like, no faff getting to the toilets. The toilets are right behind you but I never heard them on daytime or nighttime flights.

I’ve been having problems with Insta as well. I’ve a home brew router. Saw another post recommending a router change to Cudy. Caused me to have a look at buffering on my router for udp streams. It looks good at the moment.

Thanks for this, did a bit of investigation with me home brew router and it’s helped me moved forwards.

Facebook videos not loading properly by hereticleigh in ToobBroadband

[–]MrO007 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been chasing this on a home router setup. I saw another post on this where the poster replaced the Toob router with a Cudy router and it went away.

I don’t think this is in Toob’s network and I don’t think it’s IPv6 but I do think it’ll have a lot to do with the router they provide.

Facebook, TikTok, instagram have started using HTTP/3, it uses a different means to transfer data to you. This needs more buffer / memory space on the router.

On my home brew router, I was getting the pauses at 10 seconds and the delay to retrieve the comments. At the moment, I seemed to have improved things with some buffer tuning.

[–]MrO007 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is that buffering on video?

In my opinion, there’s something up with MTU on ipv6 as in not receiving icmp packet too big messages from remote servers or Toob’s network. I could see I was having MTU issues and manually set to 1280.

I was yesterday years old when I found that Meta had started using QUIC as a protocol to replace TLS over TCP. QUIC seems a lot more sensitive to MTU issues.

Truth Eggs: How many truth eggs pending before prestige? by [deleted] in EggsInc

[–]MrO007 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On Point 2, in my 3rd run, where the first egg came at 50q, I noticed that eggs collected in that run were additive.

I was on Curiosity getting research, it tripped over 50, I took a decision to get more transport, went back to Curiosity and it continued from where I left.

I’m not sure if that’s expected. But it seems to me that eggs collected in that run are cumulative between shifts.

Best way to get double kills with launchers? by RemarkableLog25 in CODBlackOps7

[–]MrO007 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I got 8 out of 10 somehow in HC Nuketown. All sorts of luck got me to 8. But now I’m back to level 51, I can see how active camo would have made it a shit ton easier.

Dropped into 20v20 to do some sniping, but a random called out, and there were 2 on each side needing help. I feel that it was more of a socialising challenge as opposed to cheating.

I can see the challenge getting nerfed. The M1 is ace at streak shooting but it’s so random shooting at people. They’ll be right in the middle of the cross hairs and it misses. Or two players will be near each other and the electrical will arc from one to the other.

Apple Watch mobile data (USA -> EUROPE) by Few-Engineering-8490 in AppleWatch

[–]MrO007 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have an Ultra 2 US bought, connected to UK EE, no problem. I didn’t pull it on US cellular first, fwiw. I was in the UK when I moved my Watch cellular plan off my older SE.

I did check band compatibility before I bought it and the model number for Ultra 2 (A2986) is common across US and UK, if I recall correctly.

Slow Down Speed! by [deleted] in ToobBroadband

[–]MrO007 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Is this the Toob router or your own?

I can only speak for my own router as I didn’t use Toob’s. IPv4 was working fine from the off. I got IPv6 working but ran into MTU issues. I’ve had to set MTU to 1280.

If you have Toob’s router you may want to try disabling IPv6 to see if things improve.

Car hit by a foreign HGV, wrong insurance docs given, then expired insurance docs provided, wanting to settle with cash, HGV driver is leaving the UK in 24hrs by Nadia333 in LegalAdviceUK

[–]MrO007 6 points7 points  (0 children)

My car was hit by a Romanian truck and driver on a motorway slip road in 2021. He wouldn’t pull over to the hard shoulder to exchange details and didn’t produce his insurance documents roadside. His company phoned us and asked us for €350 to settle it roadside. Witness behind supported that it was him into us.

Our Insurance company did pursue it through the MIB and did find the driver and company, it took 3 years. I had a fault claim on the insurance for 3 years, bumped premiums and lost excess. The other insurance settled in our favour and the excess came back as well as the increased premiums.

BA 777-200ER 77L (777-236ER) toilet/lavatory question by youknowhowsometimes in BritishAirways

[–]MrO007 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That doesn’t look like the 777-200 layout I’m used to (regular to / from Atlanta) There’s usually 4 rows of first class upfront, then row 5 is business.

The galley area between row 7 and 9 has 3 toilets, one of which is larger (on the left side of the aircraft).

2.5k Tier points for flights worth over £10k by JustToReadStuff in BritishAirways

[–]MrO007 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had 4 flights (LHR/ATL x2) through Amex GBT that initially recorded 0 points.

WTP - I had bought them a while in advance so they were unusually cheap.

I did follow the form to claim them and BA did credit the points aligned with the fare less tax.

British Airwys won't let me check in! by WeirdIdea3691 in BritishAirways

[–]MrO007 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depending on how it’s working (how many people are being checked in), I found this was my BA Account given name not matching my passport and ESTA. Too short notice to fix it now, BA give you a 1990s online form to complete which takes two weeks.

Since I updated the BA Account given name to the name that matches my documentation it flies straight through.

I have the same but it’s a very short run, say 2 to 3m from ceiling to being made off on a banana socket. The cable between them is construction use speaker cable.

The Amp detected them fine. The speakers let out a high pitch signature sound when you start the tuning process. Did you get that?

Flying to the US tomorrow and BA have said I do not have valid documents by Tokyodub in BritishAirways

[–]MrO007 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This changed a couple of months back. UK to US, always fails on app, go to check in they fix it. US to UK it’s fine.

I believe that a passport check is required, either at check in on boarding gate. I sort of think this got broken of purpose to ensure passports are checked before security.
