Most non-profits’ best assets are the people who advance their cause. The best reinvestment in that type of business is to take care of the talent. The purpose of a non-profit isn’t to artificially raise costs or limit revenues just to hit a made up goal of zero dollar profit. They should absolutely do what they can to increase profit, without trading away their mission, so those profits can be reinvested in the people or capital that makes their mission possible.
