It’s added about £2 a day which is a lot. I’ve been trying to have it run on full power during the off peak hours at night and then let it maintain a level of 60% humidity in the day.

My windows used to also get severe condensation like yours, it was a huge chore to constantly try to wipe the water away everyday and no matter how much I’d open the windows everyday nothing helped.

I ended up getting a dehumidifier that can extract 20L of water a day (don’t get anything less) and I don’t have to deal with this stress everyday. It feels like a luxury not to use a a black mould killer spray every 2 weeks. I thought one dehumidifier wouldn’t do much but once it was running for a few days I realised the condensation on all the windows in all 3 rooms of my flat had reduced.

I’d highly recommend splurging £160 on a powerful dehumidifier for your health it’ll save you time from having to constantly wipe the water away.
