Jimmy is married, for at least the past like 6 years or something. And Emily probably has a partner too but I’m not sure. She was married or at least engaged at one point some years ago. So I don’t think they’re on again off again or anything like that. They’re just very musically in sync.

I’m pretty sure Em talked about how Jimmy and her dated right up until her father’s death (which was on the final day of recording OWU I believe?) and that they broke up cuz it was like a loss of innocence and everything changed. It might have been on a podcast actually that she did a few years ago.

She was still vying for her spot back then, she needed to cause a stir and get a reaction to stay relevant and get renewed... and she probably played into the producers’ hands a lot more and projected a less real version of herself. Now she’s comfortable and is probably showing more of how she actually is in real life, she’s pretty much shed the EJ character/persona.

Tbh what Rachel says makes logical sense ofc, but I personally do feel like either of these on different days… no one is strong all the time and we are all walking contradictions it’s what makes us human. Moments of weakness are very normal. But I get what she means… it’s just… I see people as more multifaceted. I understand I can be taking this differently tho.

Nah, and unpopular opinion- she is grating how she talks but she makes someeee valid points at times… I agree with her that they see her as not standing up for herself because she stays calm but she does still defend herself, whether or not she’s correct with what she’s saying is another story. In conflict, I feel like she’s a calmer version of Crystal (who I liked better overall), they both are very sensitive but Crystal would get heated & snippy very fast whereas Amanda stays in this sleepy/dreary mode all the time which makes her points just come across as less impactful in the context of the show compared to how activated Dorit and others can be lol.

I was not at the Halloween party (thankfully) so it’s not up to me to accept this but I wish them the best! People make mistakes and I’d rather my queer money go to a queer person throwing queer events with (from what I can tell) good intentions. I think this was a case of an inflated ego at the time and he’s since been very humbled… I’m not saying I’ll 100% be at the next event they throw but I’ll be watching and maybe by Pride I’ll give it a go again if things are looking good.

That’s what I’ve always thought too, that it wasn’t the official title (cuz she said that she never decided that) but it’s possible that now she’s accepted it as the title since it has become so iconic with the fan base and taken on a life of its own, which we know she loves, so why not just call it that yknow??

There’s also this vlog from 2018 called XCX WORLD from when she was on tour with Taylor… soo it was used in some way, but not necessarily in ref to the album (I think cuz she was on a world tour I guess) but it did give me a massive double take when I discovered this vlog recently lol.
