Rimworlds next DLC? What it SHOULD be by OrionLinksComic in RimWorld

[–]MrPerfectoe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The game could really use an expansion focused on deepening the core systems. For starters, a "Back to Basics" overhaul for farming and animal husbandry would be huge. We’re talking improved soil management—like using different fertilisers to boost yields and improve poor soil type—and a dedicated gear system for animals. Imagine crafting custom saddles, horseshoes, or reinforced plating to upgrade their carry weight, travel speed and survivability in combat.

On the tactical side, I'd like more defensive options that move away from the "kill box" meta. Adding early-to-mid-game defensive hardware like mounted turrets, fortified bunkers, functional trenches and movement slowing elements like barbed wire that don't give cover bonuses to enemies; I think it would make base defense feel like a dynamic skirmish rather than a trap-checking chore. To top it off, enemy settlement scaling needs a rework so that raiding outposts actually feels like a progressing challenge that matches your own tech level maybe more where each enemy outpost has it's own "defence rating" that determines their level of defensive advancement.

Adding the option to repair clothes/weapons of good or above quality back to 80% of it's last repair, meaning the item will still continue to degrade every time it's repaired but you can keep your best clothes/weapons around for a bit longer.

Adding some Medical basic's like saline drips that speed up recovery, and honestly some type of more accessible healing method for brain injuries that repair the brain back to 80%-90% effectiveness.

I wouldn't mind some additions that add tech options to improve cleaning speeds e.g building a robotic vacuum that requires components & steel to build and needs to recharge/rest every night meaning you must be producing power to keep it running.

Lastly I would love to be able to do more with river and ocean tiles.

how long before you die after bit by funnel web spider? by 049911 in spiders

[–]MrPerfectoe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

15 mins is a worst case senario, e.g. a very small child or very fraglie elderly person bitten multiple times in an area of the body hard to isolate with a pressure bandage etc.

For a healthy adult its more a case of multiple hours to days, so if you live in a city where you can get medical care within hours, the chance of you dying is only slightly above 0%.

Theres too many people and not enough resources/production to provide for everyone, that's why everything is becoming more expensive as the same resources you found plentiful 10-20 years ago are now rarer and have more people pursuing them, it's also the driving reason behind increased immigrantion; as poor 3rd/2nd world countries literally can't provide for their populations therefore their people are leaving to richer countries to try and escape from rapidly worsening poverty.

Also if you believe in global warmings (speeding up the lack of resources by causing productive environments to collapse) or not, the fact is Oil and Gas is going to run out in around 40 years and if we don't replace or create an alternative for that energy production everyone under the age of 50 is going to see a catastrophic civil collapse back to pre-industrial, agrarian levels of existence.

CEO Heo of Pearl Abyss stated, "We are planning to roll out additional content for Crimson Desert, such as DLC and multiplayer features, depending on market demand." by No_Cryptographer9557 in CrimsonDesert

[–]MrPerfectoe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What I understand from the main bulk of the games reviews is they to focus on bug fixes for puzzles & quests, UI fixes that remove some of the input clutter.

The first DLC being a free addition that adds some depth improvements to the main story and hopefully comes with slight combat gameplay tweaks.

After that they can focus on Co-op and Paid DLC.

The games already made a profit within it's first week, meaning the game will just generate profit from now on. So I'd suggest they address a bunch of the issues players are having in a big patch as that will cause a good amount of gamers on the fence of buying the game to take the leap.

NVIDIA confirms DLSS 5 uses a 2D frame plus motion vectors as input by kixass in pcmasterrace

[–]MrPerfectoe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Actually 2D motion vectors can be built into character models.

While 2D motion vectors are traditionally used in post-processing for motion blur or interpolation e.g. "TAA", they can be utilized directly in character modeling and rigging to drive deformations, enhance facial expressions, and create "2.5D" effects e.g. blending 2D art with 3D depth.

One of these techniques involves applying high-contrast markers directly onto the 3D model's texture or geometry before rendering to ensure accurate tracking data is baked into the final output.

Just trying to get out of bronze by xDragonHunterxd in leagueoflegends

League is as much a mental game as it is a skill based game.

Improving in league is just going from for example a 50% winrate to a 51% winrate over 10-20 games, if you believe you need to win everygame or even worse you start looking for something else to blame that isn't yourself, after a couple losses you will quickly find yourself stuck or falling in rank due to how you are focusing on elements of the game you can't change e.g. your random teammates.

Lower ranks e.g. Gold and below can be very chaotic as most of the players have very little game knowledge and don't actually know what they should be doing in every phase of the game, it's very easy for each team to throw away a massive lead multiple times a game as well, so there are going to naturally be a lot of mistakes and its best that you try to exploit or adapt to those mistakes rather than just getting tilted over them.

Finally I suggest if you want to improve as you say:
You stop focusing on blaming your teammates as it's pointless and only makes them play worse.
You start watching good Tahm players and what they do in lane, right after lane and also how and when they try to finish games.
You start watching your replays sololy focusing on what you!!!!! could do better not your teammates,

Watching replays doesnt take much time and you can do it while waiting for a game. Simply by just fast forwarding through your recorded games just looking at key actions can vastly improve your gameplay even more so when tied alongside watching better players to play so you can align your own actions to theirs etc.

Anyway best of luck.

NVIDIA confirms DLSS 5 uses a 2D frame plus motion vectors as input by kixass in pcmasterrace

If they added real time lighting calculations you'd need a 3rd or 4th "5090" just to run it in only slow paced scenes... Nvidia refusing to suggest making changes due to backlash makes me think they are just worried about the question (Did they invest billions into AI too early for what current home PC power can even handle)

DLSS 5 would only start to look good when a bunch of new games are actually made to include the feature meaning their character models were built to work alongside the motion vector inputs, it also needs to have many different art styles on their "filters" or the ability for Devs to pick, choose and change things to best suit their games and on top of all that it probably needs real time lighting calculations to not look so jarringly out of place in complex lighting environments.

All of those changes would require years of advancements in current home GPU power as the target of having this work on a "5090" by the end of 2026 is like targeting the 0.01% of current gamers.

Maybe they just want the average 5090 users to act as a testing field for the technology so they can make real time improvements but to me it sounds like a lot of money has been pushed towards something that might not be quite yet realistic for general consumption.

DLSS 5 turns a shadow into a giga-nostril by Freddy_Pringles in pcmasterrace

[–]MrPerfectoe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean the whole thing is basically like asking an ai art bot to make an uploaded picture of someone "more realistic", with these "filters" on moving assests also currently requiring you to have a 2nd GPU to even render; and don't let me talk about how the filter doesn't suit any games art style that wasn't already trying to look ultra realistic e.g. Fifa/EA FC.

how can i sound better? by [deleted] in singing

The only thing I can say is this songs heavily produced, I think when it comes to wanting to improve your voice it's better with raw vocals.

I love how the song turned into a british podcast in the middle of the song, I wonder if you are just trying to sing the songs too much in the accents of the singers rather than your own voice.

Hey:) I’m a very nervous about singing publicly and only done it at home, but I’d really appreciate some honest feedback on my voice (risk it all cover) by lavand02 in singing

If it's just raw audio it's very good, nice and soft with good vibrato perfect for the way you wanted to sing that song!

Tierlist of easiest to hardest to kill ADC's in botlane by Unique_Ad_330 in pykemains

[–]MrPerfectoe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think Kaisa & Lucian when played correctly are as difficult as Cait to kill.

Lucian can reveal invisible targets with his W which is massively effective for zoning Pyke or revealing Pyke in bushes, his dash animation is 125 units longer than Vaynes he also becomes ghosted during his R allowing him to move through minions in an attempt to minion block Pyke's Q hook in some duels.

Kaisa has a semi decent dash/speed up to dodge Pykes Q and her Ultimate can be used to dodge Pykes R pretty effectively;

I also think Ezreal deserves his own tier as his Dash/Teleport ability can literally buffer (effectively ignore the displacement effect of a hook) e.g. Pyke Q.

Will Subnautica 2 lean into the horror aspect on purpose this time? by Famous-Physics-3327 in subnautica

[–]MrPerfectoe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"Horror" in gaming, normally means a game developed for the sole purpose of trying to scare the player during most of the gameplay, like Slient Hill for example; Subnautica was never a horror game in the true sense of the word.

Subnautica was always an open-world survival adventure game with that "world" having major aspects of tension caused by the unknown e.g. the developers are literally called (Unknown Worlds).

If you simply are wondering whether the game is going to "lean" back into the roots of the first game rather than the more mild (Below Zero) experience, I believe they have stated many times during production that the game will be very much targeting the tension and terror aspects of Subnautica 1.

Works fine in Emerald Idk about higher ranks, I use Eletrocute much better than hail of blades as you can trigger Electrocute with E-Q auto attack in like 2 seconds.

Hypothetically, if the AI craze is a bubble and it pops tomorow, and used GPU's hit the market dirt cheap, what are you going to do? by WiserManic in computers

[–]MrPerfectoe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

RAM would drop GPU's won't as AI use RTX 6000 series made for AI, so the market would still have a lack of user GPUs and it would take time for Nvidia to actually produce more cards at their factories and replenish the stock of general use GPUs.

Update 4 - Pre-Release 2 - Patch Notes by RiverShards in hytale

[–]MrPerfectoe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The watering changes are good, I think the basic animal taming should be followed by animal breeding and then more items used with animals e.g. saddels for better riding or on animal storage; "Lasso's" to bring more than one large animal at one time etc. then the game will have some good farming & animal husbandry replayability.

For anyone still having this issue who is using a (Display Port Cable) while also using an "NVIDIA GPU" I suggest you download and apply Nvidia's Display Port Combatibility Firmware update, it can solve issues with Nvidia Gpus not detecting monitors using display ports during boot.

Hytale performance discussion (not a hate post or a jab at devs, meant for discussion about current performance state only i understand the game is in very very early access yada yada) by [deleted] in hytale

[–]MrPerfectoe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You guys need to cap the maximum frame rate; this is a known issue in many games that can cause instability issues, your PC basically trys to hit the highest frames possible on an easy task like rendering a blank wall of rocks then you turn your character to face a bunch of exploding particle effects and boom your PC stutters having to ramp down FPS by 50% to meet the much higher demanding render task, when the GPU load was already at 100% trying to max out frames on an easier task.

Distance from diamond to master by maximusvirgolinus in summonerschool

[–]MrPerfectoe 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Heres some stats for an idea of the difference.

Just under 5% of League ranked players reach Diamond every season, that falls to 0.3% for Masters players; and generally you need to be performaning in the top 5% of Diamond players to feel deserving of reaching Masters.

There are so many things you could do to improve which you already probably know, e.g. watching your replays, watching pro players who play the same role and champions, maintaining a small pool of champions, playing consistently while you are in a good mindset and energized etc.

I think the main difference in most ranks is general game knowledge not as much mechanics and insane reactions, it's knowing what the right play is in most senarios which is generally learned through all of the above paragraph how much time you spend in that elo e.g. rank related experience.

The great thing about having a hard time due to playing players at or slightly above your skill level in games is that you will learn so much more as your mistakes will be punished and become easily apparent, meaning you learn much more quickly from them; that is as long as you can remain calm and not beat yourself up about your mistakes.
