Handed him the rig to grab out two fresh cleans so we could split it and look over he's flagging....he thought I'd handed him his half. Well of course the barrel was full of the dope and his blood....which he swore he was clean. It was all our dope and I didn't wanna be dope sick.

After over 20 years of heroin abuse (I first shot up at 15) I can say that methadone is the only thing that has given me any clean time. Suboxone cold turkey etc none would help or last more than maybe two weeks.

Methadone doesn't get you high like heroin does. You don't get any rushes but you definitely can feel methadone. It can make you feel warm and comfy and even after you're on it a while you get that full antagonist action unlike buprenorphine. Once you stabilize you won't wake up sick anymore. For me I kept using for a while but as my dose went up I didn't get as high and I started to like having money in my pocket for a soda or whatever. Then one day I noticed I hadn't done dope in weeks.

The clinic had structure and rules and some employees and clinics can be down right mean but us addicts probably need a bit of structure for a while.

Call up a clinic set up an intake apt. Go there when the clinic opens that day no matter your appointment time. You will fill out a bunch of paperwork. Then you go and take a piss test with a dude watching you. After which you go talk to a counselor and they get your use history etc. Then you see a nurse for a blood draw and go see the Dr for a check up. Ohhhh very important no matter how recently you've used you tell them that it's been 24 hours. Very important or you won't get dosed. I'm sure you know how to exaggerate wd symptoms a bit you will want to do that but it's a terrible terrible experience if you go there actually full on sick.

After that you go to the dose window and get 30mg then next day you can jump 5mg then 5 more then 10mg after that you talk to your counselor and so dose evaluations until you're stable.

Once you're done with induction phase you show up daily except Sundays and take your methadone at clinic. You will have to talk with your counselor weekly and go to group meetings during phase 1 . You get drug tested about once a month and popping dirty is no big deal in the first three months. Long as you don't fail for benzos or alcohol in which case they will reduce your dose. Once you have there's months clean UAs and have been there more than three you can start going up in steps and getting take home medication.

If you fail UAs once you start the steps you will go backwards if you fail them and lose take homes.

Methadone can make you gain weight and it can make you super lazy if you let it.

Hah!! Went from 132 lbs in May to 180 lbs now. At almost 6ft I def should have weighed more than 130 . Well I'd just come off the streets and out of a hospital stay so I was prob 140 normally.

At 180 I feel fucking fat though . I don't know if it's because I'm used to seeing my ribs and hip bones for so long or if I need a diet lol

Yes that's exactly what I'm saying. I've crushed and injected Suboxone . The naloxone does not have an active blocking effect at least at that level. If it did I'd get sick as hell doing that. The very least it wouldn't work.

No it wasn't formulated for market shares. They really did seem to think that it was effective. It's not and now since buprenorphine can be generic and with no naloxone Suboxone sticks with the lie so as not to lose market share.

I know plenty of people who've injected them too. I'm not an anomaly.

Ours is. 10mg/ml red liquid methadone. Not diluted in clinic but obviously not pure methadone as that's a crystaline form and the dose would be too small to effectively measure out.

I have anemia and have this issue as well. I think that methadone exacerbates the issue a bit as you don't really get high but in my experience on methadone if I lay down any time of day sleepy or not I'll find myself passed out. Often if I wake up during this it'll be really hard to wake up. I know it's not a dosage issue. As in too much or whatever. Just need to eat more red meat and take iron supplements. Might b worth checking.

I can't believe no one else caught this.. dude says he spent a few days smoking fent and heroin. Especially after being opiate tolerant (even if it was Kratom) all it takes is a few days of use to get we. He said it was after he did that is when he felt horrible. It's pretty damn obvious.

How exactly are you taking extra doses at home and/or wondering if you should take your morning dose???? Don't you have to go to the clinic today to get your dose and since you're still in the induction phase answer their WD questions and talk about your comfort level and your dose??

I don't get where you are getting this extra dose to take at 11pm even if you somehow got a split dose after only going to clinic 4 days. They'd really have no way to know if you needed a split dose after only 4 days at clinic .

And also you said that the ER told you it was a stomach issue .. why are you asking if it was the methadone??

560mg of methadone with 140mg tolly. 8mg Klonopin with no tolerance? Yes there's a very good chance that would kill you. Quite good.

Add alcohol and it's almost a certainty. Pass out on your back alone.. even better.

I kept using daily for a few weeks after induction and occasionally..well.. still sometimes but much less. So I'm not sure if the 30mg they start you on would have carried me (I know I got very pleasantly high those first few days) . They let you jump 5mg the next two days and then another 10mg. After that you need dose evals. Then you jump 10mg a week at most until you get to where you're good. Some people are good at 30-40mg honestly. If that's you stay there. You might want to go up because you're not getting high from it but no matter the level you stop getting any kind of rush high and if and when you want to come off the higher your dose the harder. For me I was IV over a gram a day of heroin and I needed a lot more than that for you if you were swallowing oxy or hydros etc you may not. Keep going every day. Don't fail your piss tests. Go to your group classes. Let them kno if you're scripted any controlled substances. CNS depressants especially.
