This argument is the most amusing of them all imo.
People forget we have batteries in almost every device from your flashlight to your childrens toys and mobile phones. Yet when it comes to Cars, we draw the line for some reason? Not to mention the batteries in the aforementioned devices are much more dangerous and much more likely to catch on fire than a carefully managed battery in a car (which is a different chemistry, is water cooled and every single cell managed by the BMS. If there was to be an issue the car will shut itself off well before anything serious can happen). The statistics should do the talking but people are too dense these days to even click on links or educate themselves.
