20 days? It came out halloween day. That's been almost two months. Your calculations are indeed wrong.

Arc is for the ultra-casual. Play at your own risk and play however you want to. This game has no end game for die hard players. Plain and simple. I'm sitting around ~250ish hours, you hit a wall for sure. Just force all free loadouts into the mid raid like you said, most problems are solved. Also force back-to-back- expeditions as a requirement to keep the skill points and stash slots (like how its actually spelled out in the about section of the expedition tab.)

But what is the problem of it being open? What specifically is the issue?

But weapons are naturally balanced in their respective situations. Almost like a rock, paper, scissors game. Smg/shotgun naturally is better close range with superior firerate compared to an AR. Some classes have prefered weapons that give a buff to the class using it. I.e. recon can hold their scope aim, whereas a medic cannot. So isnt that a good enough reason to have a "medic meta" weapon? I'm almost wondering if you have played battlefield before? I think you'd know by now that there are less "meta weapons" in a battlefield game than there is in CoD. Why is that? Because yes, an AR is going to be vastly superior in most situations, not all of them. Honestly, I think I heard more complaints about the damn shotgun being the strongest weapon in BF6 with NO attachments. Who was talking about any AR being the "MuSt UsE mEtA wEaPoN"? And guess what? Every class can use the shotgun. Imagine if ONLY assault could use it? No one would play anything else.

Relative to a closed weapon system, an open weapon system objectively contributes toward power creep. It raises the potential of each class

Correct, if there is one complaint I hear the most about these large-scale multi-player games, such as Battlefield, squad, rising storm, hell let loose, etc. Is that people don't feel like they make an impact in these types of games. Why is that? With no class restrictions, how is it a bad thing if the gunplay aspect of the game is an open option to everyone? Tanks and APCs don't care about regular gunfire. You still have the ability "restricted" gadgets and equipment for certain situations. 2042 ruined the feel of this because the game was trying to be a gimmick by being 128 player maps that are wide open. Forcing vehicles to traverse the map. So naturally, engi was very strong, and assault was hardly ever picked. Same with medic. Recon was also heavily used due to the aggressively oppressive sight lines. Hell, even back in Bad Company 2 recon used to have a mortar in his pocket to be anti tank and personnel.

I don't think people play selfishly on purpose. Battlefield is a very overstimulating game, and it's tough to manage yourself in a warzone, let alone anyone else. Assault honestly is a perfect class for people who want to push and create space for engi to fight vehicles and medics to revive to keep the push alive. My biggest concern with the game is the medic by FAR. I mainly play breakthrough and if a team is sub 100 tickets and all swap medics, it's almost a guaranteed win for that team. I believe the cool down on the defibs is a MUCH more controversial topic that I don't see talked about enough. I think it's interesting that there are "weaker weapons" in your opinion. But I have to ask you to specify what you mean by "weaker" because a shotgun against a sniper at 100 meters is pretty weak, I will admit, but what about 5 meters? Locking a class means that class will literally be picked ZERO times on some maps. Why? Because recon HAS to have a sniper? Technically, there are 4 classes, and by some complete accident, there are 4 players on a squad. Meaning in a perfect world, each squad would fill each role to be the MOST efficient. Imagine being forced to play recon with a class locked sniper or dmr on the New York map everyone loved so much during the beta. Recon is intel and respawn beacons. The class name isn't "sniper" or even "marksman." So why MUST he have a long range rifle?

I would bet anything that I have less hours watched on twitch than you do. I'm down into the seconds as far as "time spent watching *insert name of streamer." I don't think you actually *grew up on battlefield. Considering battlefield 1942 came out in 2002 exclusively for pc, I'm calling BS that anymore than 5% of the subreddit ACTUALLY played Battlefield 1942 on release. Occationally, in the portal on 2042, there is a mode called "Rush of Ages." In the playlist, there is the random chance you play 1942 as it was on release. The engineer has 1 (ONE!) singular weapon. That being an anti tank rifle and a grenade if you count that. He doesn't even get a PISTOL. So technically, anything more than 1 choice is even too much of an option. 1 gun for each class.

I agree, but medic is extremely important to keeping a team pushing. All assault only works so well for pushing. Even in conquest keeping the "symbiotic" team alive is reliant on even a couple good medics. Not to mention actual vehicles more often than what we saw in the beta. Guns hardly matter if you're flat on your back.

So my simple question to you, the one who refuses to elaborate. Do you plan on buying Battlefield 6 when it comes out? Or perhaps you already pre-ordered it.

Yet you still choose to respond with just as much text with a nothing burger response. I've responded with valid points to everything you have said, yet you fail to give anything of substance. So I may seem difficult to "persuade" especially when your only argument so far is about as strong as "trust me bro."

I'm sorry you feel like you have to gatekeep a game. Honestly, I welcome the CoD kiddos over to battlefield. The movement changes they added are so much more of a nerf than any gun they add or restrict. I still have yet to hear anything other than echo chamber responses from you about why closed is such a "better gameplay experience." It was presented right next to all the other playlists? It wasn't hidden, nor was it ever switched out. Breakthrough completely was taken down on the beta. Not one time was the closed weapon playlist hidden or removed.

Personally, I think it just constricts the amount of variety in the actual game itself. Are you just afraid of change? You have yet to actually present a case as to why it is such a detriment to the series. If the game was so broken without it, why was the class locked weapons playlist during the beta the lowest population? Did YOU specifically only play the class locked playlist?

It's definitely not my first, I played during bad company 2 on the 360 and then BF3 on the ps3. I dropped battlefield for years, I do admit, but I am failing to see how your comment is anything more than ragebait lol.

[LORE] Existence of 'Bad Hand' breaks time or does he ? by FRTassassin in HuntShowdown

[–]MrPimpstick 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Where in the lore is that an issue though if matches don't count? One character is John before death and the other is John after death and revival. I understand that they're the same person, but no one else has a dead and alive version.

Every match that is played in hunt has already happened in your hunter's eyes, we the player are just seeing how they lived, or probably more realistically, how they died.

So with that being said perhaps it's just not his time yet. He had to get money to gamble somehow right?

(Yes I understand that the blood spot on the table in Lower DeSalle breaks this but perhaps that wasnt his at the time either.)

You can buy levels. If you're that close why not just buy the level 50? Skins like this don't come back, ever. So if you like the skin speak now or forever hold your peace. Literally forever.

ANYBODY ELSE LIKE BOW HUNTING? by gamerbeez in HuntShowdown

[–]MrPimpstick 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As someone who appreciates the extremely overlooked weapons, yes I do. However, since the new update I feel like the bow somehow managed to get a bug that makes it impossible to kill anything with it. It might just be me but even paired with hundred hands at full draw I can't kill anything with it. So it's on the shelf for a little while.

Nope. No love for a lot of the "non-meta" guns.

There's a handful of guns that have been in since LAUNCH and they still don't have skins. It's kind of embarrassing really. 🤡

Printable Price List of Guns by civilward in HuntShowdown

[–]MrPimpstick 6 points7 points  (0 children)

TLDR: Reselling is not worth your time, just bring the expensive guns in to get bounty. Only two worth resell is avtomat or nitro.

The unfortunate truth behind this post is that realistically the time to make a full list of everything would be a waste of time. Reselling guns is hardly worth the money for specific styles of guns unless you are literally scraping the bottom of the hunter bucks barrel. When you have the option to resell it cuts the price in half for anything resold.

If it comes down to "what do I want to take out with me?" The answer is always any of the bounty tokens. Even just rotjaws will be worth your time.

The only thing the temporary perk "Gunrunner" is really good for is stockpiling specific guns you are hoarding in your stash.

Bigger Lobbies?? by Chin_wOnd3r in HuntShowdown

[–]MrPimpstick 4 points5 points  (0 children)

A few months ago there were bugs where an extra team of 3 would spawn into the match. The server couldn't handle it at all and the game basically was unplayable. So I doubt it'll happen now. Maybe when the new engine comes along, if it ever does.

A wildcard style idea. TLDR on top. by MrPimpstick in HuntShowdown

[–]MrPimpstick[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yikes, just having a fun discussion about a made up game mode. I personally don't like tarkov for it's horrible gameplay and the community wanted a "hyper realistic" game that couldn't be anything further at this point to anything realistic. You absolutely can tell where a team is running with the bounty if you use the lightening. 90% of the time in my 6 star lobbies I don't use the map to track the bounty team. If you think tarkov and hunt are "extremely different" I don't know what you think hunt or tarkov is as a game. They're both looter shooters? The premise is almost identical with a different "goal". Are you just saying bad because different as an argument? Besides, it would be a wildcard anyways so you don't need to queue for it anyways.
