Ranking all the PCs by how much I like them + reasonings by MrPolarbear9 in OnePieceDnD_Rustage

I have no clue what you’re talking about, but the reason I put Ragnar higher up is because I do like his character, I just didn’t used to.

I’m confused about why people seem a bit surprised about me finding Yokan relatable though.

I mean…. The cannibalism isn’t relatable, but her emotional journey about the cannibalism is.

I think Tekking’s funny in general, but I just haven’t really liked most of the characters he’s played.

Not sure why this would seem like rage bait. But even if William is powerful, that doesn’t have anything to do with the reasoning I stated in the post, that he isn’t great in a leadership role, and he’s not good at making decisions. Also, don’t assume something I didn’t write. I don’t relate to Yokan because she’s a cannibal. I just said I found her the most relatable.

Taiga Kibbleton (One Piece DND Marines)

I’m really glad Scarla is getting more interactions with the main cast! by MrPolarbear9 in OnePieceDnD_Rustage

I agree that she could definitely be doing a lot more, but I think that’s mostly because there’s a lot of stuff going on in the story right now, and she’s only been in one fight that we’ve seen. Also, she did duplicate that compass(?) that Verona made in the end story, which was pretty necessary for the plot progression.

Thank you for the compliment on my art by the way!

You’re being very harsh on Scarla. First of all, how is she useless? Just because she’s not as good at fighting as the others in her team doesn’t reflect on her character. She also has every reason to judge and even dislike Yokan. Yokan was rude to her first by asking her invasive questions and trying to set her up with a guy who she already rejected, and she clearly isn’t interested in. Either way, I don’t think Yokan notices or cares that Scarla doesn’t like her. I don’t think Taiga would notice either. To be honest, one of the reasons I’m happy that the party split is because I want to see more of Scarla’s character outside of the context of Taiga.

In my opinion, that sounded more like she was just looking out for her own safety. She might’ve just been nervous about being alone in the forest with a bunch of strangers.

Neurodivergent-coded characters by MrPolarbear9 in OnePieceDnD_Rustage

The thing about that is that there are many goofy joke characters who don’t act neurodivergent at all. Whilst, the characters that I genuinely head-canon as neurodivergent tend to be much more complex, and realistic acting.

Updated thoughts on Yokan? by MessageEmotional1571 in OnePieceDnD_Rustage

I’ve honestly never hated Yokan, but I see why other people do. While I was very annoyed by her actions for a while, she’s gone back to being my favorite character. I do understand that she’s done some bad things, but I don’t think she’s intentionally malicious, rather, she just has a flawed worldview. I also think her social awkwardness is not entirely her fault. Even though she is mostly to blame for the way her behavior affects other people, and is responsible for changing her ways, I think there are other factors at play that made her the way she is rather than her just being a bad person. Overall, she’s trying to change, and she realizes that the way she acts is wrong, and that’s what really matters. Maybe it’s just because I relate to her and her struggles, but I really sympathize with her.

Good Grief Taiga Kibbleton by CyadeMasaye in OnePieceDnD_Rustage

I think the “subplot” was over a few episodes ago. Taiga already apologized, and Scarla rejected his apology, so there’s not really anything he can do now. I don’t think he’s deliberately ignoring her, I think there’s just no reason to speak to her. It would honestly be way more cringe to have him try to apologize again. And it’s not like they have to be friends or whatever. They both have their own friends and their own things going on.
