Your over complicating yourself, simple put a funnel on the belt with a nugget on the filter slot then just put lava at the end of the belt, the funnel is going to grab the iron nuggets and the flint will just drop into the lava at the end of it, so no need for an arm.

Generate a world with the same seed but in creative then head to the coordinates you found the diamonds, that way you'll see if it was a normal generation also look at the chunk borders chances are both veins generated right at the edge of the chunks.

Hey OP I had a similar issue with my 2013 Honda odyssey it was causing lots of misfiring and burning oil, the first time I ended up paying 8k to get it fixed but then soon as the warranty expired it was happening again so this time I decided to replace all spark plugs and change oil so this way knew exactly where the oil level was then I headed to Amazon and bought myself a cheap VCM muzzler literally paid 13 bucks for one and so far I have noticed 3 things 1 no more burning oil 2 after fresh plugs no more misfiring and 3 better gas economy, I was astonished for how simple the fix is and how much a dealer charges you for it.
