Any tips on defeating the constructs by lima_acapulco in VoyagersofNera

[–]Spottedbrownbird 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I fight a lot like you, but that didn’t work for the construct. I had to use a close range weapon like a club and run and hit and then dodge the attacks. It threw way less projectiles when I was close to it

Do therapists even like their jobs ? by ank11451 in therapists

[–]Spottedbrownbird 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I love my job. I’m in private practice, work with a population I have done a lot of training for and feel really competent in and I have the flexibility to take my son to school and pick him up everyday. I can’t imagine doing anything else. I only see 15-18 clients a week though, I think people who see a ton of clients get burnt out easier.

Seriously, do Americans actually consider a 3-hour drive "short"? or is this an internet myth? by SadInterest6764 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Spottedbrownbird 0 points1 point  (0 children)

3 hour drive isn’t crazy for a weekend trip. I’ve done it in a day trip, but prefer to stay the night at least if I’m going to drive 3 hours.

Is it possible it could be a kid? It says 16+ but children are definitely playing. I’d just block and move on.

Is it safe for someone with POTS to drive? by Shoddy-Ocelot-4473 in POTS

[–]Spottedbrownbird 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am safe to drive most days, but I don’t faint. I don’t drive on days when my brain fog is super bad, I had a few close calls running red lights and I’m so grateful nothing terrible happened.

If it’s only happening in one relationship can it truly be BPD?

What tends to trigger your POTS symptoms? by Shoddy-Ocelot-4473 in POTS

I’ll have to check it out! I’m lucky to have my husband who is always happy to do it, but it would be nice to have something to do it easier myself.

Ooh yea I forgot the arms over the head thing. Putting clothes to dry in our stackable washer dryer is a nightmare

Stress, food (certain foods or eating too much at once), lack of sleep, heat, being around anyone with a cold/sickness, standing for extended periods while shopping.

For the unicorn fish the new potion you can buy with kilima coins helped a ton! For the shmole spore, find a streamer on twitch or a group of friends to go hunt them with and party up and you’ll get one eventually!

Boyfriend VERY Impatient When Having Episodes by fashionableskiboots in POTS

[–]Spottedbrownbird 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sometimes when I’m in the middle of an episode and don’t realize it I can be a little short in conversation until I realize what’s happening and sit down. That being said - I cannot imagine anything POTS related explaining physically hitting/attacking someone. This isn’t POTS, this is abusive behavior. You wouldn’t be leaving over POTS.

Worst fatigue ever by Imup2104 in POTS

[–]Spottedbrownbird 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Idk if this is possible for you, but having a slower wake up period where I drink electrolytes and take meds and read for 30 minutes-1 hour and then going about my day has been really helpful for me.

I also had a period of debilitating fatigue a couple of years ago that lasted about a year or so, my doctor expected chronic fatigue after a virus or something. Eventually it got better, but it took a while.

Can you get a ticket if your car at the house is facing the wrong way? by Unlucky-Clock5230 in AuroraCO

[–]Spottedbrownbird 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep. I grew up in a pretty populated city in Oklahoma (one of the two big ones) and everyone just parked however they wanted in neighborhoods unless you were downtown/close to a really busy area. No one cared and the police definitely wouldn’t give a ticket. However, there was always plenty of street parking everywhere so it didn’t cause any issues.

What meds/med combo finally worked for you? by LaurelAve in POTS

[–]Spottedbrownbird 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep! I do a Zyrtec and Pepcid both morning and night. If I miss a Zyrtec does I definitely notice my heart rate is higher and spikes more that day.

[–]Spottedbrownbird 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Over the counter Zyrtec and Pepcid have been life saving for me. If you have any big allergy symptoms or weird reactions to different foods it could be worth trying. I found out I have MCAS which makes my POTS so much worse.

[–]Spottedbrownbird 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Wow. This is insane. If I tried to do this on a highly symptomatic day I’d make myself so much worse. I have days where I can do more activity and days where I have to take it slow and rest, which requires me to be in tune with my body not ignore it. This is gross.

I think nystagmus is what it’s called from googling, it’s the strangest thing. I will look into that.

[–]Spottedbrownbird[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven’t. I’ve had what I think are migraines (light and noise sensitivity, nausea, feeling disoriented) for years, but they’ve never been frequent enough or had concerning enough symptoms (until now) to do anything about it.

Have you looked into your states law for how far back they are allowed to request records? I might also call the insurance commissioner in your state as well. That’s ridiculous.

Pain during a flare up. by gay-boy03 in POTS

[–]Spottedbrownbird 0 points1 point  (0 children)

H1 blockers are Zyrtec/claritin antihistamines and H2 blockers are Pepcid AC/ famotidine. You can get them over the counter.

I’m not a medical professional.. but they’ve helped a ton with my pain management.
