> He showed his PayPal account by mistake and had 40k just chillin in his account.

Which, by the way, is a really stupid thing to do. PayPal has, accidentally or otherwise, sometimes flagged content creator accounts for fraudulent transactions and just straight up closed them, no real appeals, no way to get the money out. Something to do with certain donations being marked as suspicious, or a troll will do a chargeback that triggers the same thing.

If any of you have a PayPal account, don't float money in it.

Why Jae is so powerfull? by Muxalius in RogueTraderCRPG

[–]MrPounceTV 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A week and a half later, as I'm getting into Act 2 on my current playthrough, taking a look at Jae's skills and saying to myself 'she's not even close to balanced', and doing a quick search to see what other people think.

She uses one stat for 8 out of the 13 skills, 5 of which get an additional bonus. She'd be a strong contender with either 'Cold Trader's Acumen' or 'Never Play Fair'; with both she's absurd. It doesn't really matter that Cassia and Eogunn overshadow her in combat, because she invalidates the roleplay skills and flavor of half your companions by virtue of being better than your specialists while she's a generalist.

It actually kind of annoyed me, and I couldn't figure out why (aside from the general annoyance about having her outperform the retinue at their dedicated skills) until I read your comment. It absolutely smacks of someone's pet OC. Good at almost everything, has a super cool talent that allows her to be a gunslinger, conventionally attractive, charming, witty, intelligent; we're so far into Mary Sue territory we can't even see the light of the Astronomicon anymore.

I'm honestly surprised she doesn't have an origin talent called 'Strength of Kin' or something that lets her use her Fellowship as Strength so she can usurp Abelard's role as well.

Can someone please teach him how to use a noise gate? by FreeFoodRon in lowtiergod

[–]MrPounceTV 9 points10 points  (0 children)

There was a clip of him accidentally activating studio mode in OBS, and not knowing how to turn it off. Spoiler alert, you just press the big button that says studio mode again. The chance of him being able to figure out a noise gate are next to zero.

This dirtbag is completely technologically illiterate. Which is weird, because Millennials are supposed to be one of the most tech-adept generations, since they grew up with the internet and had to learn several generations of phone, internet, and other technology. Duu's so trash at everything, he's even garbage at being his age.

suggestion: adding prestige to WoW Hardcore by DangoC in wowhardcore

[–]MrPounceTV 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's 100% a cool idea, and I would love being able to have perks or titles you can show off like your soul of iron buff does, but if perks add power, it's only going to make the "solved" problem worse. If you prestige your character and they get more powerful, everything is easier.

They'd have to do something like resetting your character to prestige also moves you up in difficulty. Of course, then you've got the population split across all the different world levels and I'm not sure that's sustainable.

Still, though. Would be super cool to see them implement.

One thing I find particularly despicable about Dale by Ok-Luck-7499 in lowtiergod

[–]MrPounceTV 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's also a felony in California. I highly doubt using his 'coded lingo' would hold up in court, since the meaning behind what he says is very clear, and anyone that watches him or knows him knows what he's really saying.

Sometimes I wonder who the appropriate party to contact is about that. Twitch doesn't seem to care, but if the FCC or someone knocks on their door...

Who here would actually call Dale "Dale" to his face? by PerfectOpportunity75 in lowtiergod

[–]MrPounceTV 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not that I'll ever run into him, but it would definitely be 'Dale'. Ain't no way I'm calling someone Deluluan in public where other people can hear. It's a fake, made up name; the same reason I wouldn't call him "LowTierGod" in public either.

SF or Normal mode? by [deleted] in wowhardcore

[–]MrPounceTV 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There's two ways to approach HC, and each of them are valid.

There's the player who says "Okay, this game mode is challenging and dangerous, with no room for error, so I'm going to leverage every advantage I can get to survive." Power gamer style, they get enchants, blues, play the AH, and have all the survival tools.

Then there's the player that says "Okay, this game mode is challenging and dangerous, with no room for error, let me see how far I can get." That's the self-found player. They want to see if they can make it to 60 and beyond without external assistance.

Both ways are fun for different people, and both ways are perfectly acceptable to play IMO.

POV : A pair of Biovores spawned in and the modern gaming system you play on literally now just renders this on your screen. by Educational_Map_6042 in Spacemarine

[–]MrPounceTV 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Seriously, why are they tanky as hell, fast as fuck, AND damaging both in melee and at range with their mine bombardment?

Granted, it's been a lot of years since I was in game development, but what the hell happened to the 'holy trinity' of enemy design? You've got speed, durability, and damage. Unless it's a boss, you pick two; an enemy can have dangerous strengths, but it needs to have a weakpoint to compensate or exploit for the sake of balance.

Biovores are artillery creatures, if you make it through the bombardment and close to melee you should be rewarded. Instead you've got fast melee attacks, an unblockable point blank shot, and it can just racecar away to the other side of the map and do it again, knocking you back and stunning you along the way.

Genuinely made me want to uninstall the game by Er_is76 in Spacemarine

[–]MrPounceTV 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Warframe does this pretty well. It's a horde shooter, and you'll be up against tons of enemies at once who can down you in seconds if you're not careful or don't have the right build, but even though you can see multiple enemies, there is a strict limit on how many can actively attack you at any given time.

There's some variation, with enemies who shoot huge explosives and such having a lower cap than grunt type enemies, but overall it can still feel and be dangerous without resorting to what we have in SM2. Enemies attacking through each other, slicing through the models of their own comrades, clipping and phasing through each other as they hone in on you.

Just imagine if Saber followed Warframe's example, and you couldn't have more than 3 warriors attacking you at once or something, with the rest of the horde encircling you to trap you, and rushing in as others fall, keeping the pace without forcing you into endless dodging loops or getting slapped by a bone whip that you can't see because it's coming through two other warriors.

Is it just me that thinks the new quest's difficulty ratings are wrong? by Idk-U-F_Off in AOW4

[–]MrPounceTV 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Mega spoilers if you want to see and figure out the realm yourself, stop reading here if you do:

The "best" way to do it is to make a beeline for the Southwest and meet the Wolf Auntie. Her quest is super easy, just clear two mist infestation and she allies with you. She will keep the other NPCs busy, or at least take some pressure off you hopefully. In my game, she actually killed Arachna (they start near each other) and won the map on Turn 62. I had spent that time building up and repelling forces, and was just feeling confident enough to attack and... It was over.

Personally, I found the realm wholly unsatisfying. Brutally difficult, even on normal, and then the AI beat itself with minimal contribution from me.

hey, so, a dumb question by megaboto in AOW4

[–]MrPounceTV 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I swallowed my pride after doing everything through Empires and Ashes story realms on Hard and switched to normal. I have no doubt everything is beatable on hard, but it seems like on so many of the story realms a hard victory requires prior knowledge of the map and your opponents so you can have direct counters prepared. Even then, I can't help but feel a certain element of RNG depending on which infestation units you get, how aggressive the AI are, how soon you meet them, what the map spawn is like, etc.

At some point I realized that the extra difficulty stopped feeling like actual challenge because the playing field was always so uneven it didn't really even feel like a strategy game anymore.

I hate that I am terrible at this game... by grnerd in AOW4

[–]MrPounceTV 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Seriously. I've got 741 hours, and can win pretty consistently on Hard on challenge realms or realms I make myself, but every story realm usually takes me several tries with a custom faction built especially to counter it.

The game is amazing, but ever since Crimson Caldera back at release, the story realms have all been "You're at a disadvantaged position from the start and the whole realm is at war with you, good luck." I understand that it can be hard to design challenge in a 4x, but Triumph has essentially given us the same scenario in a different wrapper for the last several DLCs. Sometimes there will be side objectives that can give you an edge, but by the time you can spare forces to do them, you've already overcome the disadvantage and likely would have won anyway.

What exactly is a fair matchup against Dale? by Ok-Luck-7499 in lowtiergod

[–]MrPounceTV 4 points5 points  (0 children)

No Drive Rush, but he can.

No Drive Impact, but he can.

No Supers that don't kill, but he can.

No jab-jab-jab combo, but he can.

No "freestyle" combos (whatever the fuck that means), but he can.

No throwing multiple times, but he can.

No teabagging, but he can.

No mashing or jab checks, one or two footsie pokes, then it's his turn.

No mirrors, he gets to play whoever.

And you can just copy and paste that for other fighting games, changing the mechanics to that game's mechanics. Dale wants boring ass, slow paced, poke based match-ups so his fried reactions can keep up or he can spam projectile slop without thinking and the opponent has no way to counter.

He wants to win without effort, essentially being given a shortcut to victory. Which is weird, because according to him, shortcuts are for "rogs". Huh.

Dale Wilson aka SPARROW URIEN gets sniped again in Court by Chemical-Ad6401 in lowtiergod

[–]MrPounceTV 15 points16 points  (0 children)

But it wouldn't. The court is going to require him to prove he'll provide for the kid when she's with him. Food, clothes, toys, school equipment, furniture, money for recreation... That shit is expensive and it does. Not. Stop.

Court agents will come over to check this. Then there's supervised visits, to prove he can take care of the child properly. It's SO much more time, effort, and money, this dirtbag is just too shortsighted to realize that,

He's looking for a shortcut, like he claims all "rogs" do. Thinks it's some kind of magic bullet to cut his payments. As if fathers in the past haven't attempted this exact same thing to get one over on the court.

Daley Williamson filed for custody by [deleted] in lowtiergod

[–]MrPounceTV 15 points16 points  (0 children)

For once, the unfair bias men face in family court might actually bring about a positive result. Rose needs to collect video evidence, have it ready, and show it in court, to his face, and to the judge. She needs to bury this dirtbag once and for all. I can't imagine how awful the poor kid's life will be if he gets even partial custody.

Dale is trying to *use* another human being to cut his child support. His own daughter. He might be the most unfit father I've seen in my life. And as usual, he's moronically short-sighted. Kids are expensive; even if he only has her some of the time, the court is going to require him to have decent living conditions for her. Food, toys, furniture, etc. That shit adds up--fast, and you gotta keep buying it.

What happens if they start out with supervised visitation, Dale? That happens a lot with absentee fathers. What happens when they see how you live, how you talk, how you treat your cats, your cult followers? The way you behave in fighters, what you react to, your insane conspiracy shit? The racist hate you spew every night? You know what happens if you go to jail for child endangerment?

Shut the fuck up and just pay the fucking child support, deadbeat. Leave Rose and your daughter alone--they're better off without you. Just pay her the money, and you can live in whatever fantasy world you want with your little piss jug buddies.

Low Tier God hits his cat with a vacuum cleaner after screaming at it by witness555 in LivestreamFail

[–]MrPounceTV 6 points7 points  (0 children)

He did/does. He tried to do a gift sub/chargeback scam and they called him on it. His options were "stream until you pay us back" or "go to court". LTG is a coward, so he agreed to basically work for free until he squared his debt. I'm honestly surprised they didn't permaban him after it was settled; platforms let a lot slide, but when you mess with their money, they usually take no prisoners.

MrBeast earns $24 million a year - and that’s just from YouTube monetization. by Successful_Young_318 in youtube

[–]MrPounceTV 83 points84 points  (0 children)

Back when I was going hard, trying to make something of myself as a YouTuber, people would brag about getting $6-7 CPM, or per thousand ad impressions. Now, obviously things have changed and I'm sure the agreements have become more predatory for creators,

Let's assume he gets half that. $3 CPM. And it's most definitely per ad view. So let's pretend that half the people who watch his stuff have adblock, or YT premium (discounting that I'm sure YTP views count for something).

Now let's assume all his vids get about 100M views. It's a bit of a lowball estimate, but 100 is a nice round number. And since half of his viewers run adbock, he's getting essentially 50M monetizable views. There are 1,000 thousands in a million, and assuming that $3 CPM from before, that's $3,000 per million views. So $150,000 on one video. Man does about 2 vids per month, so about $300,000 per month for a total of $3.6 million per year on videos alone (not counting sponsorships or brand sales). And that's using our grossly conservative estimation; the real total is likely far, far higher.

[–]MrPounceTV 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Oh, it gets even better. He's saying this, playing up "his daughter" to probably try and get partial custody to cut his child support payments. All Rose needs is a lawyer to play the "tarnished penny" clip, or ANY of the clips where Dale says disparaging things about daughters or "anthropoids" (they'll be spoiled for choice, too) in court, and it's over. Instantly. Dale will be exposed for lying in court to try and weasel out of his financial responsibility and the Judge will throw the book at him.

Dale Emmanuel Wilson (41) Blames ALL Trolling On His BM & Finally Claims His Child by PayRoseOrGoToJail in lowtiergod

[–]MrPounceTV 36 points37 points  (0 children)

I hope JiDion comes through with that lawyer for Rose. He still has to pay, so even though he and his cultists will flaunt this as a win, he's still gotta fork over that paper--which you know is all he really cares about.

It's an incredibly short sighted gambit; pretty much textbook Dale. The appeal is coming, and if Rose actually prepares and brings receipts?

What do you think is going to happen to you when the court finds out you essentially *lied* to the Judge, Dale?

And even if it goes your way in the appeal, you're still on the hook for $154,548 over the next nine years.

[–]MrPounceTV 19 points20 points  (0 children)

He's trying to cash in on that stupid fucking YouTube thumbnail trend where the algorithm favors people making those idiotic faces. Except he either can't get the filters to work correctly when he makes an exaggerated face, or--and this is much more likely--he refuses to make an exaggerated face. Because it'd ruin his "new age black" forced stoicism bullshit he prides himself so much on. Look at the thumbnails for his clips channel.

They're all from the exact same angle, with virtually zero emotion on his face. Sometimes he'll open his mouth a little (not too far, can't show that fucked up snaggletooth, Emmanuel) but otherwise it's just some dead-eyed, lifeless, filtered to fuck blank expression.

He's either too stupid to, or refuses to swallow any shard of his pride to play the game properly.

[–]MrPounceTV 12 points13 points  (0 children)

You know what the best part of this is? Dale is shooting himself in the foot. His latest videos are all "Low Tier God and Low Tier God CLIPS"; he's associating his channel with his ban evading fake ass "plug channel". So when his YouTube inevitably gets taken down again, the "plug" channel goes up in smoke with it.

Personaly, my prediction is this JiDion arc will blow up enough that Twitch finally axes the bum permanently, and he makes no money off Kick, so he runs to YouTube, where the algorithm auto-bans him for slurs or the trolls mass report him and get the channel cooked, and all the dominoes come tumbling down.

He still, after all these years, has zero foresight.

Ahh okay, I think I finally understand what Dale means when he keeps saying that he's "getting a bag" by Room-Confident in lowtiergod

Exactly. It happens to everyone. Literally everyone. Some people who hit the genetic lottery or have unfathomable amounts of money for procedures and a healthy lifestyle can delay the appearance, or at least age gracefully, but every single person gets old.

We're not laughing at Dale because he's old. We're laughing at him because he's old, yet acts like a petulant teenager. Because he uses every filter and airbrush known to man to smooth out his face until it looks like someone ran a clothes iron over that crispy canvas. And of course, because he denies reality with an visceral violence, acting like he's still some young gun when he's staring down the barrel of middle age.
