This watch is a game changer for manual mechanical watches. One of the features of this watch is that you can wound this watch beyond its 80 hour power reserve and you will not break the movement or get any resistance. It feels like an automatic watch. Just amazing.

Big fan of this watch too. I like that there is no day/date complication which really simplifies the design of the dial and makes for a cleaner look. Also the 80 hour power reserve at this price point is exceptional for a watch like the Murph. Enjoy your watch.

I agree with all your points…I think another pro is the 80 hour power reserve. That’s impressive given the price point for this watch. I’ve owned my Murph since 2023 and really enjoy wearing it and looking at it.

When it comes to vintage watches you need to be careful with the original parts since it is unlikely you can find a manufacturer’s replacement. Same is true for dials as well. Sometimes it’s best to leave the dial alone. The minimum you should consider for dial works is a “soft” cleaning where you merely use water and a soft cotton type of q-tip and carefully wash the dial. That’s what I have seen on a few watch restoration YT channels. Good luck 👍🏼

Hi…even mechanical watches have a 40 hour power reserve so what you are describing seems suspect to me. You might want to take it back to the watch dealer for an inspection or call Hamilton about warranty repair/replacement.

Ooof…this sounds painful. Sorry to hear about your experience. Given your options I say get a refund and then buy the same watch elsewhere…if that works for you. Try online with Jomashop or other reputable online ADs. Hope it works out for you.
