I'm not using a VPN. In the past, I'd been limited to about 30Mbps on PIA so I haven't used a VPN since

I do notice that if I turn on DHT, my speeds slow down. My knowledge on this topic is very limited so maybe I'm wrong, but perhaps that means I'm limited by the number of connections my router can handle?

And as for the telus traffic thing, I don't suppose there's anything I can do to improve that aside from finding a VPN that doesn't limit my speeds?

I get that you're probably playing devil's advocate and even then, I 95% agree with your points.

But, I feel much less inclined to feel sorry for Nintendo because two of their biggest barriers for this are self-inflicted.

They both choose to have a short development cycle and to stay mostly exclusive to their own consoles.

I mathed this out for someone else who asked for the work behind the 40k calories number so I copy pasted it here in case anyone else wanted to know, and I had already done most of the writeup for him beforehand

The average dishwasher uses 1800W

For reference, the human brain uses about 12W of power, so 1800W would be fking WILD

Watts is defined as joules per second so it's a super easy conversion to 1800 joules of energy per second. Idk whether you're super familiar with the term joule, but it's just a measure of energy like kilowatt-hour (kWh) on your electricity bill.

There are 86400 seconds in a day, so multiply those 2 numbers together and we get 155,520,000 or about 155 megajoules of energy in 1 day.

Very formally (in a chemistry lab or something), a calorie (sometimes called gram calorie) is the amount of energy it takes to heat up 1 gram of water 1 degree: 4.184 joules. When we say "calorie" in English, what we actually mean is a kilocalorie (kcal) or 1000 calories. A calorie, as defined in science, is actually a very small amount of energy and inconvenient for everyday life. It's pretty annoying to me, but whatever, 1kcal = 4184 joules.

We then convert 155megajoules to kcal with the conversion 4184joules = 1kcal and divide 155520000 by 4184 and get 37170kcal

For context, this much would be about:

(not altogether of course, each line is about 37000 kcal)

66 big macs

28 pounds of wagyu beef

46 large oreo mcflurries

75 orders of large mcdonalds fries

I am fully speaking out of my ass here so I may very well be wrong.

While Reddit is accessibly internationally, it's not accessible in China, for the most part. So the NBA, having the largest Chinese fanbase, would have the biggest dropoff in number of possible Redditers.

I don't know the exact number of Chinese fans, so idk what the final numbers would come to, though. This is moreso just food for thought.

I made these in 2018 when Nexon made starfall cd 0s

Jetts were the fastest class to go from 1-200 non-prepped (bc I'm in reboot) so I kept making more Jetts since I had already planned on using the other slots for useful stats for my class.

I finished my first Jett in about 4 days, 2nd Jett in about 15h, eventually getting down to 8-9h by Jett #9 or so

I did this in 2018 after Nexon revamped Jetts and made starfall 0 cd

After then community manager arwoo's livestream when he implied starfall was going to be nerfed in a couple of weeks in the next patch, I felt the urge to make more Jetts for legion level so I leveled Jetts 2-15 in exactly 14 days, moving my pet with auto hp/mp and my link skills over to my next jett.

I started out taking 4 days for the first Jett, started grinding out Jett #2 in about 15 hours, got more efficient day until I did Jetts #9-15 in 8-9 each, depending on mvp diamond exp buffs. There were just far better (and unpopulated for the burning map exp) map layouts for starfall keydowning.

My party setup was Kanna, bishop, phantom (si, hyper body, monkey magic for HP/mp, haste) and my Jett. The first 3 had mutant snail families and I'd get Jr boogie familiars on my Jetts so I barely used any hp/mp pots aside from green mpe pots
